Like macaroni, if your pizza ain't got a little burnt carmelization, you ain't eating real pizza.

:deadrose:....you know I like u right; familial associations and all; I not trying to be disrespectful but ummmm.....but whuut is that???!! That's burnt and what are the toppings? Unrecognizable
:dead:

Lol... that is the venerable Great Lakes Pizza.

Referenced by GQ as being the #1 Pizza joint in America, Brooklyn's Lucali taking #2: American Pie
Referenced by the New York Times: Great Lake, a Chicago Pizza Shop, Enjoys Being Small
Referenced by the Chicago Trib: Great Lake: a pizza joint both hard and easy to love

But Great Lake made the finest pizza in America, according to The New York Times, GQ, Playboy and more authoritative eaters than can be mentioned here. Its crust was chewy, blackened and perfect; its ingredients came from whatever Lessins and Esparza could round up from a local farmers market that day. Other pizza places claim similar qualities, but few (certainly none I have ever tasted before or since) could balance a love of classic pizza with swoon-inducing flavors so well: sweet corn in summer, charred squash in autumn.

1st Pizza: Smoked Bacon, Creme Fraiche, Onion, and Chive.
2nd Pizza: Chorizon, Onion, Creme Fraiche, and Herb.
3rd Pizza: Cremini Mushrooms, White Cheddar, Black Pepper, Rosemary.

Has anyone been to Lucali's in Brooklyn?

I agree...a good deep dish is :ahh:

It's so easy to fukk up a deep dish, they have a spot down here that makes a good ass deep dish:wow:
I agree. I was in chicago for like a week, in terms of quality its hit or miss.

Some of them were greasy and sloppy.

But the joints that killed it, KILLED IT!

Gino’s East was my favorite.

But Brooklyn, Downtown Manhattan, Hudson County, NJ pizza :woooo:

That's overcooked! That's not pizza. That's an infection. Ur not posting the right pics. That looks like somebody accidentally dropped it on a bathroom floor, picked it up, and dropped it again. Look at those burnt parts and that huge burnt bubble on the edge ...I hate when the crust has big burnt bubbles like that. *gaggggg
