Gibbs should have walked away from the rap game after pinata, he really wasn't built for it and it only tarnished his legacy.

Now he just another lame rap nika with baby moma drama, and i cant blame him cause thats what you around when your a rapper.

Smart rappers know when their time is up (50, travis scott scarface, e-40, lupe, ect.) and leave on a high note and invest the rap money. Then you have clowns like game, young thug, lil wayne, ect who get addicted to the fast life late into their 30s and continue to f up their lives, careers and legacy.

Its just the nature of the game, same with old heads who continue to live that street life well into their 30s and 40s. It will do nothing but drag you down unless you really are a heathen with no morals and appreciation for life.

And miss out on Shadow of a Doubt, You Only Live 2wice, Babdana and Alfredo?

:dahell:

And 50, Trav, Lupe, E-40 are still putting out music.

yes but without the "hype" machine gimmicks behind em.

Every time Gibbs drops theirs some type of hype gimmick hes evolved in. These fake gangster beefs, to push albums sales.

and yes we could have lived with out those forgettable albums, if gibbs didnt get caught in the rap money, he could have waited a few more years and worked on his craft and then dropped bandanna. Bandanna felt rushed and lacked the direction, soul and presence of pinata.

He walked into the rap game with a chip on his shoulder and proved he was that dude with piñata. At this point he’s just getting in his own way.

As a Midwest dude myself I can tell he’s got to much heart for the rap game and it will only bring him down.

I think it’s got something to do with jeezy. It’s like he trying to prove jeezy wrong and become a household name with the likes of jeezy, TI, Luda, Ross but he just ain’t got it like that. He lacks the industry polish and presence that was idolized and forged into rappers in the 2000s.

Not to say he’s a bad MC he maybe better then all I listed but he’s from the same cloth as the backpack rappers of the late 2000s. He can rap and has the introspection but he’s an outsider.

He came off the same wave as the Kendrick, 2chains and Ross’s run back in the early 2010s. He didn’t fit. He basically came up at the wrong time. If he would have come up in the early 2000s with lupe, q tip, Andrea and nas he might have been a legend.
