When they talk about missile strikes are south korea and japan, they are talking about hitting US military bases not civilians
the US plan on bombing civilian targets just like they did against a japan in WW2 when the japanese never attacked american civilians

correct me if i'm wrong but i don't think that NK has the ability to specifically target US bases in SK or Japan...their ballistic missiles are a joke.
if NK attacks it's going to be artillery that is not as accurate as ballistic missiles.

Am I missing something, why does China protect North Korea and not want a unified Korea.

Pure Communism is dead. What are the positives of having North Korea as a buffer zone in the 21st century? I really dont get it, is it the history between these two countries.

I am hearing about a refugee crisis, but South Korea is developed and pretty sure their government can take on and support the north koreans.

It just seems that North Korean regime is more of a headache than anything

War would be horrific for the Korean peninsula. I have no doubt that much/most of Seoul would be destroyed and North Korea will be a wasteland when this is all over. North Korea would widely use chemical,biological weapins against South Korea. The US and South Korea would bomb the shyt out North Korea. And launch a bloody ground invasion of the north.

This would be a world changing event affecting adversely the global economy. South Korea is a major economic power; it would not be when this ended. There is nothing good in this whatsoever. This is why no one's wants war in the Korean peninsula.

China don't trust US having so much influence and military that close to them.

SK's relationship with China is strained due to the people's complaints over the fine yellow dust coming from China.
