I know North Korea will lose. A North Korean War will be the best display of American conventional power. It will be a war playing into America's strength. The whole point of my post was that America's military isn't invincible. Put them in a non conventional war (guerilla or assymetrical) they are totally out of their element. They can beat North Korea but can the same be said of Iran or a Shia insurgency in Iraq backed by Iran or if Pakistan openly supported the Taliban with manpads or ATGMs. America is powerful but there is certain conflicts that would expose her military.

Son, have you ever heard of the Law Of Armed Conflict (LOAC)? It's something that all American military members must follow and also prevents us from pulling the trigger a lot of times. If we could go into any country and just start killing everyone and everything we would be untouched, since we cant, we have to abide by the rules/laws that governs when we can engage. No diss, It just irks me when i hear cats doubt the capabilities of our ground forces.

Me, just someone who's been strapping his boots tight since 2000

North Korea looks like it's aggressively building a ballistic missile submarine

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Satellite images taken this month of a North Korean naval shipyard indicate Pyongyang is pursuing an "aggressive schedule" to build its first operational ballistic missile submarine, a U.S. institute reported on Thursday.

Washington-based 38 North, a North Korea monitoring project, cited images taken on Nov. 5 showing activity at North Korea's Sinpo South Shipyard.

"The presence of what appear to be sections of a submarine's pressure hull in the yards suggests construction of a new submarine, possibly the SINPO-C ballistic missile submarine - the follow-on to the current SINPO-class experimental ballistic missile submarine," 38 North said in a report.
