In its relentless pursuit of nuclear strength, North Korea's first land target may have actually been itself. The Diplomat reported Wednesday that an intermediate range ballistic missile launched by the regime last spring accidentally hit the city of Tokchon, which has a population of more than 200,000.

The missile was launched from an airfield just over 40 miles north of North Korea's capital city of Pyongyang.

An unnamed U.S. official explained to The Diplomat that due to an engine malfunction, the projectile made it only a minute into its test flight and traveled about 25 miles northeast before hitting the ground.

The Diplomat cross-referenced the failed missile's approximate landing site with Google Earth and other satellite imaging to find that the suspected landing area did indeed seem to show signs of "considerable damage to a complex of industrial or agricultural buildings."

Several structures appeared damaged in satellite images, reportedly by debris from the failed launch.

While there have been no confirmed reports of deaths in Tokchon as a result of the failed missile test, the images published by The Diplomat seem to show that the missile came perilously close to exploding in more densely inhabited areas, marking the risk of test launches.

North Korea has launched two ballistic missiles since August, both of which flew over Japan and landed cleanly in the Pacific Ocean — but one concerning possibility put forward by The Diplomat is that a future missile could explode prematurely over Japan, which would "spark a serious crisis in Northeast Asia."

NBC News reported Tuesday that U.S. officials believe North Korea may be preparing for another missile test "in the next week or two."

China doing their foreign relations the right way

Why bomb people to bits and overthrow their leader when you can gain them in other ways I.e. Angola.
What happened with Angola? Curious.
I always say this is a flawed analysis.

1. China slips in under the expanded US military presence. Remember, the US Navy secures the world's shipping lanes. Not china, so china never had to invest in the shyt we did to get to where we are right now

2. China has no interest in civil rights or human rights appearances. They dont give a shyt about the local populations. They even bring in their own labor

I don’t mind China being a world super power

Anything that reduces the American Empire to K-mart status is fine by me
I don't. I want a dominant America and prefer it to be the preeminent superpower and I'd support any initiative, diplomatic, militarily, or otherwise to maintain that.

Hell no.

And I’m aware that the Chinese aren’t hand holding Kumbaya, but I give them props for what they’ve accomplished

And for fulfilling the overall goal of the departed Chairman Mao
Mao Zedong was directly...DIRECTLY responsible for the deaths of MILLIONS of his OWN people.

The Communist Revolution is why the Chinese people have little to no concept of their history or culture, because it was ERASED BY MAO ZEDONG for the sole purpose of "modernization of China".

He literally murdered and ordered his OWN PEOPLE...Chinese People... to be killed because they wouldn't obey his edicts...

Removing individuality...spiritualism...all for the "goal" of "One China"

Burning down temples and historic sites...in the name of modernization...

What you typed is absurd my friend...and before you go comparing what he did to what some US President did here or abroad, think about this:

You're deifying a man who for example...would be ok with me killing my own flesh and blood because they "pray", since that prayer distracts from the focus of secularism and conformity.
