I've had plenty of bad experiences with ricans before but it's hard for me to hate them as a collective because i have friends that are rican that have always been good to me and my fam.

I am not suggesting that race be dismissed, for that only perpetuates white supremacy by brushing legitimate grievances and real oppression under the rug. I would recommend this article and this article to expand more on where I'm coming from, but basically I am simply stating that this fixation on "race" as a natural category is wrong. The concept was literally invented to maintain to rule of the ruling class, and treating race as a natural category with inevitable and obvious logics such as "Blacks (or group X) are friends/enemies of group Y" does not aid in any way in freeing the masses of people. In fact, this type of rhetoric does just the opposite, especially for Afrikans.

Ricans are racists and Ricans are Grimey. Many other hispanics have had a hard time dealing with Ricans too ask Dominicans. Blacks need to get over if they have black blood, it doesn't matter, its one thing to have black ancestry but its another thing to love a part of your ancestry more than the other. Besides Ricans are predominantly of white ancestry with lesser Taino and African ancestry. Although I think Colombians,Hondurans, and Brazilians are even more down to earth to deal with, why do other negros need to look for other hispanic nationalities for acceptance? Which takes to one of my babies mothers. She's a mixed Rican and her and aunt mother didn't like me. The relationship degenerated to the point that I dont even bother to see my kid. I dont think she like the fact that am a African-American. I think the fact that I'm dark made it more or an issue.

Do you honestly think that child growing up in an unstable family dynamic is going to work out well for him/her when they are grown? I don't believe that most Ricans value their white ancestry more. I know this one PR and his mom looks like a lighskin AA, while his dad is more mestizo looking. I faked ignorance and asked if he was black (mind you he has virtually white skin but afro textured hair) he said no that he was "full" PR. Then I asked if he was white, he stated quite loudly he wasn't.


This was fascinating, it seems most PR dont like being called either white or black. They are very proud of their unique ethnicity. That being said Dominicans are bigger c00ns imo
