Yea thats one thing I can say about us Southern nikkas. We ain't looking out for or c00ning for no Hispanics. Most of us prefer black women, and we think their women look like shyt. At best we'll chase Redbones and very light Yellabones, but that is far as we'll go. There was this nikka from Cali I went to Highschool with. Who'll always say "Man that Mexican girl is fine as hell!" And then we'll go nikka what :dahell:? We doing it for us and by us in cities like ATL, DC, and Houston.
DC is not the south, bamma, and half Salvi/black babies are everywhere...don't lump the DMV in with those bamma-lands.

Which takes to one of my babies mothers. She's a mixed Rican and her and aunt mother didn't like me. The relationship degenerated to the point that I dont even bother to see my kid. I dont think she like the fact that am a African-American. I think the fact that I'm dark made it more or an issue.

Where did this notion of black and Puerto Rican Brotherhood come from? -Lived in Philly for years and Puerto Ricans and didn't get along in north Philly.

-When I lived in NY we got along slightly better but didnt move in the same circles or anything. I know one broad that dated some Rican and his refused to feed ta a family get together.

Now I live in central fl and the animosity is kinda thick between blacks and Ricans. Where did this idea of brotherhood come from?
Central FL black and latino dont really get along as up north peeps do it kinda weird though.

It's crazy how badly the coli wants me to hate Hispanics.

I've never had any broad problem with them. Some are cool, some are not. Nah fukk, y'all, I'll befriend, wife, build with any of them based on the merits of that person. .

I thought racism was about power....what power do Hispanics have over me? :dahell:[/QUOT

THe Coli really goes hard on hispanics man.

Some of the REALEST nikkas I grew up around are PR or Dominican.

Some of them you wouldn't even know were hispanic until they actually spoke spanish.

As a matter of fact my PR nikka Domo was one of the first to put me on to Five Percent Nation philosophy.

Nikka had more black pride than many of you nikkas on this site.

The idea comes from the simple fact that they share blood. Puerto Ricans are a mixed breed.

"Recent DNA sample studies have concluded that the three largest components of the Puerto Rican genetic profile are in fact indigenous Taino, European, and African with an estimated 62 per cent of the population having a indigenous female ancestor.
Afro-Puerto Ricans constitute the largest minority group. "

"Sociological studies from the 1950s onwards have suggested that Afro-Puerto Ricans are disproportionately present in deprived urban neighbourhoods, low-paid informal-sector employment and youth detention centres."

http://www.minorityrights.org/5258/puerto-rico/puerto-rico-overview.html#peoples

"61% of Puerto Ricans have significant Taino ancestry and 46% of Puerto Ricans having significant African ancestry, many are racially mixed, with most people having varying degrees of European, African, and Taino ancestry"

"The Puerto Rico of today has come to form some of its own social customs, cultural matrix, historically-rooted traditions, and its own unique pronunciation, vocabulary, and idiomatic expressions within the Spanish language. Even after the attempted assimilation of Puerto Rico into the United States in the early 20th century, the majority of the people of Puerto Rico feel pride in their nationality as "Puerto Ricans", regardless of the individual's particular racial, ethnic, political, or economic background. Many Puerto Ricans are consciously aware of the rich contribution of all cultures represented on the island. This diversity can be seen in the everyday lifestyle of many Puerto Ricans such as the profound Latin, African, and Taíno influences regarding food, music, dance, and architecture."
