out of 12 movies I've only seen about 4 or 5...

I understand the overall story it's not that complicated...imo

You really only need to see a couple movies to understand what's jumping off

For earth:
1st Avengers movie
Winter Soldier(watching the 1st CA movie sets this up but it's good by itself)
Age of Ultron(sets up Civil War)
Civil War

Space/Dark World:
Thor
GOTG

It's all about the Infinity stones and the conflict it's causing. Right??:jbhmm:

Which is all being caused by Thanos who is the biggest villain in the Universe.

When you realize the Captain America trilogy is basically about getting his best friend back....it gets kind of corny with a side of fruity..

I enjoy both trilogy's tho...I like the effects and fighting more in Captain America...but I like the story and tone in the Dark Knight trilogy..

Civil War I agree doesn't stand on its own but Winter Soldier definitely does. Widow and Fury don't need introductions.

I don't even think you need to see FA to understand Winter Soldier. Cap's origin is explained when they're touring the museum.

batman begins gotta be the most overrated nerd movie of all time.

1. for one, christian bale is absolutely awful and is completely one note the entire movie. the guy even admitted himself he wasn't happy with his performance.

2. katie holmes gives the worst performance ever in a superhero movie and completely drags the movie down with her. zero chemistry with bale and ruins every single scene she's in.

3. the look and feel of the film is so bland, no style or atmosphere whatsoever. this was resolved by TDK but in batman begins gotham city has no character at all. also the costume was terrible. keaton and affleck could at least let the suit do the acting for them but christian bale is handicapped by the dumbest looking batsuit ever. didn't even make it to next movie. also the action scenes are INCOMPREHENSIBLE!

4. cillian murphy is admittedly one of the best things in this entire movie and yet his character could have been written out entirely. also without even seeing the movie and just looking at it on paper, can you think of a weirder pairing of bat-villains than scarecrow and ra's al ghul??? have those two EVER been featured in the same comic? that is a legitimate question. if someone knows the answer by all means.

definitely give the movie credit for starting the gritty reboot craze, although i'm beginning to wonder if that was a good thing. and yes i will concede that without this movie there would be no iron man, which follows it's blueprint to a tee. fortunately they were just able to make a much better, more enjoyable movie.

of the 3 nolan bat movies and the 3 cap movies, i think batman begins is easily the worst.

Those fight scenes were awful. Dudes just falling without even being touched (top left corner)

Again the guy to the left with the machine gun just falling for no reason

The final Bane fight scene with nothing at all changing just a meathead punch fest.

Truthfully Ledger made the trilogy. Without him the movies are average at best. Bale was a horrible Bats showed no kind of fighting skill and voice was just silly. Not to mention him actually crying on screen and being fooled by a female. I can go on and on about how horrible TDKR is.

S.M.B 4 EVER
I like both, but for pure entertainment value the Cap series is the better trilogy. The fight scenes throughout TDK trilogy were always weak. Batman Begins I liked the best out of the Trilogy, but the camera angles were too close. TDK and TDKR improved the fight scenes a bit with better camera work, but still not that great. Batman definitely didn't seem like a trained Martial Artist knowing multiple styles.

The Cap fights were pretty good in the First Avenger more comic bookish style, but that's the type of tone they wanted for the first movie so you can appreciate the character of Steve Rogers. The Russos' brought it to another level for the sequels with the action. The Cap story has been consistent throughout the trilogy. He's a man out of time looking out for his best friend, that looked out for him when he was a nobody.

I would rank the Films in order:

The Dark Knight
Winter Soldier
Civil War
Batman Begins = The First Avenger
TDKR

shyt godamn theyre close. But im gonna have to give it to Cap. They ended the trilogy with complete class, Civil War was incredible. While Nolans last entry was def the weak link.

But what tips it in Caps favor for me, is that Chris Evans Steve Rogers shytS on Christian Bales Bruce Wayne.

If you had to ask me which trilogy i'd want to spend the day watching back to back to back, Captain America series no doubt

Id rather watch the nolan trillogy back to back to back but you cant go wrong with either...both were very well done and civil war hasnt been out long enough to judge it as a whole imo

The Dark Knight Trilogy. If i'm flipping channels and one of the films happens to be on FX, TNT, etc i'll stop flipping and start watching. I can do that with Winter Soldier but not with First Avenger. I fell asleep watching it the first time in theater and had to watch it again so I could finish it. Every time I try to watch First Avenger I get bored and turn it off and i'm a big history stan especially when it comes to World War 2. I've only seen Civil War once but it pretty much felt like an Avengers movie. All that was missing was Hulk, Thor, and Fury. The action in Winter Soldier and Civil War is better than the Dark Knight Trilogy but from a storyline standpoint the edge goes to Mr. Nolan.

No matter what though i'm enjoying this super hero film renaissance :ohlawd:

The Dark Knight Rises is garbage but overall that trilogy is better than the Cap trilogy.
