So how are you just dismissing TDKR already?

Yeah the 3rd movie is usually the worst in the superhero genre (Blade, Spiderman, X Men) but Nolan has never made a bad movie and all things considered it seems that everything in this saga has been written and planned to come to this point.

This is more like Fistful of Dollars/Lord of the Rings than them superhero movies.
It's the premise breh...I don't like the premise of this movie. Nolan (PBUH) had me thinking he understood what he was dealing with with these first two movies.

And now it's like...it's like I feel betrayed...

And you know this how?

Chris Nolan Departs Superman Reboot To Focus On ‘Dark Knight Rises’ | Screen Rant

Thomas said Nolan is so single minded when making a picture it’s hard to get him to work on anything else. And she made it clear that in the case of “Superman,” Nolan and David Goyer just had an idea they couldn’t believe wasn’t being explored by Warner Bros. And with Zack Snyder now on board as director, Nolan will be busy making “The Dark Knight Rises” and “we are handing it off to him.” So, take note anyone out there thinking this will be a strange Nolan/Snyder partnership. Thomas reiterated that they brought it to an appropriate screenplay and it’s now Snyder’s picture.

it's hard to make a good superman movie because there's just not enough tension/conflict to work with. superman's not human, so it's hard to really do anything human with him as is done w/ batman.

the only good line to take IMO is the one between Superman w/ humans...and that relationship would probably be really reminiscent of Batman's relationship w/ the people Gotham or of X-men with humans. in other words, it'd be boring.

there's also just not a lot of good comic material that would translate well to the big screen. the only one i've seen that i've been interested in is the alternate universe one where Superman lands in Moscow rather than Metropolis. that'd be an interesting take, but obviously not the movie you'd make for your studio's summer box office hit.

Yeah
Jonathan Nolan did infact "look over and made some corrections" to the script.

Anyway:

The British actor will be in Hall H Saturday with director Zack Snyder to promote "Man of Steel."

Superman is coming to Comic-Con.
Henry Cavill, the actor who is portraying the DC superhero in Warner Bros’ Man of Steel, will make an appearance at the studio’s Hall*H panel Saturday, sources confirm to The Hollywood Reporter.
Whether Cavill would show up had been rumored but not confirmed. When the Comic-Con schedule was first officially revealed in late June, the only thing written about the Man of Steel panel were the words "Man of Steel."
On Wednesday, Warners sent out a press release elaborating details of the participants of its panels for The Hobbit (Ian McKellan, who plays Gandalf, is one of those attending) and Pacific Rim, Guillermo del Toro’s sci-fi monster epic for Legendary.
But for Man of Steel, the studio said only that director Zack Snyder would be on hand and that footage would be shown; no one else was mentioned.
Other actors from the movie, such as Kevin Costner and Russell Crowe, are not expected to attend.
