Its not a rebuild, you cant rebuild because of Brown/Tatum...When ur rebuilding ur selling off ur assets and starting fresh, they cant do that even if they wanted too...

Only way it will be that is if one of them demands a trade in the next few years...then i could see them tearing it down.
Does he still have all those assets and if so who can he flip em for at this point?

also there's the fact that nobody wants to trade with him :francis:

did Ainge HODL too long :lupe:

Brown and Tatum are borderline superstars at 24 and 24. Gil just wants clicks.

But that roster needs a lot of work.
It sounds outlandish and like typical hot take, clickbait trash. But after listening to it he essentially said the same thing your saying, which I agree with. Rebuild was probably a poor choice to use because of connotations in the sports world, but around Tatum and Brown there needs to be some roster reworking for that team to get to true contender status.

Such as damn near every other player in their age group that hasn’t led a team to shyt?

If Tatum & Brown are disappointments then what are Ingram, Mitchell, Luka, Trae, Booker, Towns, Simmons, etc.?

I’m supposed to shyt on them for only being able to lead a team to the conference finals when most of their peers are being given grace for far less?
Whos shytting on them tho ? Gilbert didn’t .

All I'll say is it's interesting to me how Tatum & Brown are held at a much higher standard than everyone else in their age group, even compared to the players that are supposedly better than them.
What are you talking about?? Tatum and Brown (Tatum especially) were hyped to the moon, particularly by Boston media and Celtics fans, which have a big presence in the league. That's why they're held at this standard now that they're out there playing as a mediocre team.

Their roster is weird...Kemba's knees are a ticking bomb...and Brad isn't a championship level coach...nor is Ainge a championship level GM...

Treadmill team treadmilling, they just somehow think they are NOT a treadmill team...

When your window open you have to pounce. Much like Toronto did when Bron when West.

I don’t think think Boston has had that chance yet due to the age of their stars and the juggernaut that is Bron, Golden State, and now maybe BK. They’re still in good shape and should be positioning themselves for a couple finals runs over the next 2-4 years. The NBA will be in a drastically different place by then.

They're the only under 25 stars in the league right now that have people running around claiming that they've peaked and their window is shut. My argument was never that their peers don't receive any criticism at all, but it's disproportionately lower than them. Brandon Ingram been in the league 5 years and hasn't sniffed the playoffs and no one bats an eye. Donovan Mitchell blew a 3-1 lead and no one bats an eye. But folks act like it's the end of world because Tatum & Brown aren't ready to lead a team to a title right now.
Have you considered the (real) possibility that you're just biased and sensitive?

Boston is in that fukked up position. When you have a young star core you need to load up before their big contracts kick in. Boston is in that position now where Tatum and Brown are going to be too good to bottom out but not good enough to take you to a championship without the right pieces around them (not a knock on them at all). Now that they have their big contracts it is going to be hard to put pieces around them as the team will be capped out so they can only add one mid-level and mini mid-level a year and then minimum contracts. That'll lead them to being a treadmill team for a few years. So I think it'll be more fair to say they should rebuild instead of saying they are rebuilding. Ainge fukked them by not trading those picks even if not in a huge trade just to put a good 4/5 around them. The Kemba contract is going to kill them too and their only real chance of becoming a contender is if he can rebound to being his old self.
