Does he still have all those assets and if so who can he flip em for at this point? Its not a rebuild, you cant rebuild because of Brown/Tatum...When ur rebuilding ur selling off ur assets and starting fresh, they cant do that even if they wanted too...
Only way it will be that is if one of them demands a trade in the next few years...then i could see them tearing it down.
It sounds outlandish and like typical hot take, clickbait trash. But after listening to it he essentially said the same thing your saying, which I agree with. Rebuild was probably a poor choice to use because of connotations in the sports world, but around Tatum and Brown there needs to be some roster reworking for that team to get to true contender status.Brown and Tatum are borderline superstars at 24 and 24. Gil just wants clicks.
But that roster needs a lot of work.
Whos shytting on them tho ? Gilbert didn’t .Such as damn near every other player in their age group that hasn’t led a team to shyt?
If Tatum & Brown are disappointments then what are Ingram, Mitchell, Luka, Trae, Booker, Towns, Simmons, etc.?
I’m supposed to shyt on them for only being able to lead a team to the conference finals when most of their peers are being given grace for far less?
What are you talking about?? Tatum and Brown (Tatum especially) were hyped to the moon, particularly by Boston media and Celtics fans, which have a big presence in the league. That's why they're held at this standard now that they're out there playing as a mediocre team. All I'll say is it's interesting to me how Tatum & Brown are held at a much higher standard than everyone else in their age group, even compared to the players that are supposedly better than them.
That Celtic delusionTheir roster is weird...Kemba's knees are a ticking bomb...and Brad isn't a championship level coach...nor is Ainge a championship level GM...
Treadmill team treadmilling, they just somehow think they are NOT a treadmill team...
Have you considered the (real) possibility that you're just biased and sensitive? They're the only under 25 stars in the league right now that have people running around claiming that they've peaked and their window is shut. My argument was never that their peers don't receive any criticism at all, but it's disproportionately lower than them. Brandon Ingram been in the league 5 years and hasn't sniffed the playoffs and no one bats an eye. Donovan Mitchell blew a 3-1 lead and no one bats an eye. But folks act like it's the end of world because Tatum & Brown aren't ready to lead a team to a title right now.
