The Xbox One is why they failed. The leadership in place now wasn’t who guided that direction of the company at that time. From the company CEO on down they’re different now.
The back half of the 360 was already shaky.
The market wants one thing. They don’t want to have to pick and chose. The market wants one streaming service like Netflix used to be that has everything. They don’t want to have to sub to 10 services to get it all.
don't necessarily disagree, but unless you gonna have Xbox, Nintendo, and Sony games on this service, it's gonna fail. the price will already be too high to carry all 3. Some businesses are not meant for streaming. All these streaming and sub services are learning the hardway. And now you got people cutting the streaming cord because it's gotten out of hand.
Even Nintendo with their quality software could never compare to what Sony became after the N64 cartridge debacle. It wasn’t until they stopped trying to compete with Sony at all and went their own way that they found success again. Nintendo used to be the defacto choice for mainstream console gaming. They aren’t that and will likely never be that again.
Agree, and who's fault was that in that situation? Nintendo's.
Unless Sony fukks up what you’re talking about is virtually impossible. Customers aren’t going to abandon the market leader for a similar product unless given a reason by that leader to leave.
100% so it's over for them as a hardware provider. The numbers are showing this. People in MS leadership already contradicting Phil. You not getting over 75 billion for "free" without some kind of ROI. He sold them on increased gamepass subs. That's not happening. Console numbers are tracking worse than the XB1. There's nothing that is going to magically change things. They might get out of the hardware business after THIS gen, not even next gen at this point.
