Nah they just didn't want to make sequels, they only planned for the Matrix, 2 and 3 were shot as one movie, they clearly didn't want a trilogy. Throughout all their films, the writing is top tier, they just hit their peak with Speed Racer, to be fair it was their dream project, which means its gonna suck (King Kong, Revolver, etc).

A result of having too much too soon. They threw at them, an emotionless Tatum, a tired Kunis, and a very short lived Sean Bean. The Wachowski's need to be struggling to produce a passion project (it seems), more money = more visual bulk of bullshyt.

Still haven't watched cloud atlas but i've had it for a long ass time. Haven't checked speed racer and I'm not expecting the 90's cartoon

ninja assassin was my first bluray purchase ever and still the greatest ninja movie i've ever seen but they had nothing to do with that anyway.....they did however have there hands in bound and v for vendetta so i give them hella credit for those...nvr saw speed racer but i heard a mixture of good and bad things about it so imma just go ahead and download it now and check it out
