@gangreen just read an article on Jones playing this week and apparently you're right. They would have to free up a spot for him to play.
Seems like he's definitely going to play so we'll see what they do
Joe Walker was ruled out for Sunday.
Looks like Joe Walker is headed to the IR with a "neck" injury. That would free up a spot for Jones.
Ellerbe took his spot in the base defense and he has been on the injury reports for awhile. Eventhough he is probably healed up by now (he has been a full participant in practice for the past three weeks).
This was planned probably as soon as Walker got that bad stinger, they started progessing Ellerbe to start in his spot and took Jones off that NFI list.
They were probably hoping that they werent playing for anything in the final two weeks. So he could play in both those game for experience.
He seems like a very important part of the future plans, the way they are rushing him to play in one game, had him travel with the team for all road games, and had him in the film room with the other dbs all year.
With Mills dealing with that nagging ankle injury, we gonna see alot of Rasul and Jones especially in the second half.
Good for him, i know the guy was dying to play and he has been studying up this whole time. Nothing like putting wat u see on video into practice.
Hopefully he gets his first pick off of Dak on Sunday. The first of many.
