Who would you guys prefer to play in the divisional round?

If i had to choose right now i think I'd go with the Panthers. With the way we shutdown their offense and their lack of deep threats and poor running game, i kinda feel like they're the best matchup.

I can see wanting the Saints or Falcons too because theyre dome teams who could struggle outdoor in cold weather, but they have really good RBs so that could neutralize that.

Seahawks are the team i least want to see in all honesty. Russ scares me :manny:

Panthers or MAYBE falcons in the divisional round... then vikings in the NFC Champ game. at this point everyone else has me like :whoa: .

foles isnt outdueling goff in that mcvay offense and i dont see our defense shutting it down.
i want no parts of that ingram/kamara combo EVEN if we're the top rush defense.
russ is russ, no thanks over there even though ill take seahawks over the rams or saints.

i could see us shutting down panthers nonexistent run game easily while our corners lock down their WRs. falcons arent as scary as last year but julio/sanu against our secondary :lupe:... if we get constant pressure on matty ice we should be straight there still.

and all of this is also dependent on foles playing AT LEAST average

I could see Goff struggling in philly on a january night in all honesty. He's also never played an important game in his life and is lowkey dumb as dirt.

The Rams might be my second pick after the panthers in all honesty.

Agree on Foles though. Im not expecting him to do anything huge. He needs to just get the ball out quick, hit open guys and not turn it over.

If we're going to win any games in the playoffs i think the defense + home field + cold weather is going to play a huge part and we're gonna have to win ugly.

Which is why we're kinda lucky that all these teams are either warm weather or dome teams, and why i badly dont want Seattle to get in.

Of course all that could not matter and Foles could struggle and handicap us on O and we lose. Who knows

Was literally just about to post about this

There's no reason to not get him out there for atleast a couple series. Doesn't matter if we win or lose and if he's not ready you can take him out and deactivate him for the playoffs

I think u gonna have to release somebody to activate him. I cant think of anyone on the active roster to release for Jones who hasnt played in a nfl game or even been through training camp.

Maybe Jaylen watkins but he plays special teams. Steven means ? But he plays special teams too.Maybe najee goode with the promotion of Ellerbe.

I could be wrong but from what i remember from what i read about that non football injury list shyt, Once u activate him, he is on the post season roster. U cant deactivate him if he is not injured.

Who would you guys prefer to play in the divisional round?

I feel u

Those mobile quarterbacks have given us problems all year and he is the epitome of a scrambling quarterback. Alex Smith and Russ are the Qbs that beat us this year.

That wide 9 we run is not conducive to us when we play quarterbacks who can extend plays with their legs and throw it accurately. Or who can find a hole and take off.:dame:. Dont think our defensive backs or any db can cover that long

Its Russ and Aaron Rodgers that scare the shyt out of me. you know u gonna have a difficult day. Scramble ability with world class decision making with accuracy

They can have a shyt roster and can will their team to win by themselves.

Cam doesnt scare me as much, because he not the thrower they are and he has lapses in his decision making at times.

Brees with Kamara kind of scare me. Kendricks and Bradham are not strong cover guys. The saints are beatable like u said because they are outside in cold weather in our stadium.

NFC is wide open and Everybody is beatable in the cold weather at the linc with our defense.

Home field, Run game, controlling the time of poss and defense is the key to winning in january.

Foles gotta make throws tho to stop teams from stacking the box but im sure he is capable of that.

Im expecting blount and ajayi to go off. Blount especially. He is not fun to deal with when its cold out.

Sidney Jones might play next week :lupe:

bout to be debbie downer but I am 99% certain Sidney Jones aint playing this season and its for one reason only...the business of football. I cant imagine a guy who has never practiced until recently can actually contribute right off the bench and when you add in the fact that Jones is on a 4 year rookie deal- if they shelf him for 2017- his final year he will be a restricted FA instead of an unrestricted FA

He’ll already be a RFA. You have to play at least 6 games to be UFA.

Don’t matter just go out and execute. Defense will carry us until Foles stop being gun shy

totally random thought- with the likelihood of loosing Schwartz to a head coaching gig- I was thinking who should the eagles go after as a DC..and one name came to mind....Jeff Fisher.
I know the coli loves to shyt on Fisher because he is a re-tread sub-par head coach. and yes- i would never want him running the team but as a DC...:ehh:

he is Schwartz mentor and I want a DC that noone will hire as a head coach...check. I know he wants back in the league and a DC role is a demotion but hey...how badly do you want back in? :yeshrug:
