Uhh yea..

You are absolutely right OP. Jeezy was omnipresent. As a NYC it was shocking to see a guy down south get the amount of love he did out here. Snowman T-Shirts were a hot commodity

Yup. I think it was his first show in the city (not 100% sure; I remember hearing someone say that), but nikkas in the crowd was going word for word with him as soon as he started performing and the album wasn’t even out yet. Watching that was some real :ohhh:shyt. I had never seen a southern artist get that kinda love in the city right out the gate.

Never say Drake Pop ass and streets in the same sentence
Drake had the streets though, people underestimate the variety of music the streets fukks with.
They think it's all about straight gangster shyt as if the streets don't appreciate bangers, rap skills, money/ballin rap and shyt that was invented in the hood. Not whole albums but Drake has plenty of songs and songs of other people that feels like Drake songs that people really fukk with. And I don't hang with street dudes but I've been to certain clubs (my mans forced me to) and seen it play out like a Drake tribute night.

I remember the summer of 05 all I heard everywhere in Chicago was jeezy. every nikka had the snowman streets and was quoting his lyrics. trap or die and thug motivate 101 were like gospel to nikkas. No rapper since has had that type of energy. Future and Gucci probably came closes but it wasn't near the level of Gucci.

professor of mine used to bump jeezy as we were walking into class
