I said movement not who he put on, it’s well known woo put all them nikkas on the map and helped them out, we’re talking about movements, the whole stop snitching snowman shyt was all over the map back in 2005.

It was definitely a movement. Young nikkas around here started naming their clicks Brick squad/So Icy Boys..dudes was buying big goofy cartoon chains from the middle of mall, some hoods on the eastside started calling themselves Zone 6 etc..that wave was serious down here.

The gym teachers were playing TM 101 in between their classes, you could hear it in the hallways of my middle school :banderas:

That local news notice to not let kids wear snowman shirts :camby:

Sidenote: I logged into Facebook after like 2 years and the first thing I see is my cousin looking like present day Jeezy :dead:

he wasn’t the 1st to do this though, nobody outside of 02 50 or 03 kanye had the type of impact jeezy had, and let’s not even speak on sales but that’s a different league and argument right there.

Drake didn't have the streets..But he was/is popular as all hell....And has hits on top of hits but he aint never had a street movement.
No of course not a movement. But to act like he didn’t have songs that were popular in the streets is what I’m saying.

The moment that prolly compares best is the Mobb in 99. First we got the Murda Muzik bootleg than the official album dropped. When the Quiet Storm remix dropped it was over:wow:
West south and midwest didn't fukk with em like that tho

I remember the summer of 05 all I heard everywhere in Chicago was jeezy. every nikka had the snowman streets and was quoting his lyrics. trap or die and thug motivate 101 were like gospel to nikkas. No rapper since has had that type of energy. Future and Gucci probably came closes but it wasn't near the level of Gucci.
Brehs, what about Waka Flocka Flame's first album from 2010/2011?

Without a doubt. Jeezy was coming up the same time BMF was running wild and all that shyt cultivated to create a street bible essentially. Nothing else really compared. shyt changed my perspective :wow:

I'm what the streets made me, a product of my environment.

Took what the streets gave me, product and my environment.
