I remember the summer of 05 all I heard everywhere in Chicago was jeezy. every nikka had the snowman streets and was quoting his lyrics. trap or die and thug motivate 101 were like gospel to nikkas. No rapper since has had that type of energy. Future and Gucci probably came closes but it wasn't near the level of Gucci.
lol @ the bold

trap or die thug motivation 101 and cant ban the snowman and boyz n the hood was killing it

.... i think jeezy had a higher high for a short period of time.... but gucci's high was longer than jeezy's
gucci could of had a 05 jeezy type year but nikka was locked up

Facts! I got locked up around that time and when I got booked brehs in the holding cell was like what you in for and I explained how I didn't here the laws trying to pull me over because I had my music up. nikkas was like "what were you listening to?" I said Jeezy. Them nikkas all got loud and laughing talking bout "You waz gone on that Jeezy " You waz gone on that Jeezy" :russ: that's when I knew Jeezy had the street s. Never seen a nikka outside of Texas take my city streets like that. Well 50 did back in 03, but its rare.

When Rick Rock had his hot streak he took Jeezy's spot
When Jeezy was selling more? Or did about the same numbers?

Jeezy's internet presence has been weak, that's why Def Jam were shocked, that's why people who don't pay attention to the streets always are shocked. You see his singles doing same numbers on youtube as some unknown local artist, then first week he's doing bigger numbers than a lot of these "hot artists". In 2004-2005 Def Jam showed Jeezy no love cause they didn't think that he was it cause they monitored radio, internet and shyt.

Yea, that 2005 year for Jeezy was serious on the STREETS. There haven't been anything like that SINCE, and the last two times where the streets were that hot was DMX's 1st album and when the Chronic came out.
