Why am I seeing Eminem mentioned in a thread thats about consistent discographies and music? Its pretty safe to say that while Eminem has dropped good music, he's eating the dust and bugs from dudes like Face and Cube; He has duds in his career and his career isn't EXPANSIVE enough...yes, he dropped D-12 albums, but those shyts were highway debris...Cube dropped Westside Connection, crafted the first 2 Mack 10 albums, NWA, etc. Scarface has done so fukking much I can't even list it all. Stop with the Eminem talk..he's an infant not allowed at the grown folks table.

Bow Down is a personal classic and most definitely a west coast classic

He sounded refreshed and focused on that album after some inconsistency post Death Certificate

It's weird that with his legacy and catalogue that's he's kind of underrated in a way.

:what:

no, he accomplished EVERYTHING there was to accomplish in hip hop, he became a grown ass man with a family and he was no longer in the hood. So he wanted that hollywood money, he was a PRODUCER, he was in the power position in hollywood as black man. But ignorant nikkas like you who want some 40+ year old millionaire to be in the streets slanging dope.

That's for another thread. I swear that black folk in this modern era have trouble growing up and maturing to be responsible parents.

Cube sold out, when he created a false battle.for.false.commercialization on wc.
Which also may have became the first the possible payola record review and the incident that compromised the cred of the source.
Which forever destroyed hip hop journalism.
So, that is why cube is called a sellout.
People talking negatively as far as cultural cred is concerned .
When discussing his movie and film career made an error, culturally.

I've never heard anyone call Cube a sellout for these reasons other than you.

All that's BS, the WC album was very important and spoke on some real shyt that was happening in the industry at that time. West Coast music was definitely being black balled & unfairly scrutinized in the East, while the West always showed love to artists across the nation. Cube himself didn't have trouble selling records so him doing that record put himself at risk to ride for the whole of the coast.

It was right on the cusp of the Don Mega era which IMO is by far Cubes worst work. War & Peace 1&2 are trash outside of a handful of songs.
