Check out the first 16 minutes of Resident Evil 4 VR for Oculus Quest 2. This looks crazy

Now for my thoughts. I have a PC VR headset(lenovo windows mixed reality). The fact is PC VR is dead when it comes to large studio games and super polished experiences "AT THE MOMENT". I read an article from a VR developers and said Oculus quest games can expect 5x more minimum sales than when that game is released on PC. Valve created great hardware with the Index, but their hands off steam approach is stagnating PC VR right now. I am not a fan of Facebook, but they are working with developers to create crazy experiences. Oculus is killing it! I'm also curious to see what Facebook will debut on October 28th at their Facebook connect conference also.

I honestly don't see PC VR getting anything new of substance until PSVR 2 drops. Since that is PS5 based with proper motion controls, non Sony exclusive games will be ported to PC.

Back to Valve. Valve is rumored to be releasing a standalone VR headset called the Deckard. Some lines of code about this showed up in Steam VR. Since they are dropping their Steam Deck handheld soon, I'm wondering if that same hardware will be powering the VR headset. From a Graphics perspective, it will destroy Quest 2, but without Facebook's console style price selling Oculus at a loss. It will just be another expensive headset the masses won't have. Valve's hands off approach might hurt it also if they go PC style and not pay developers for exclusives or only release Half Life Alyx for it.
