I'm gonna try out different games and events and rate them here:

Beat Saber- FUN! the only thing I don't like is that when you fail, you start over, so you really never get a steady rhythm going until you learn what's coming at you. I like the music packs too, although I wish they had more R&B and Hip-Hop. I guess that may be coming though as it gains popularity. 7/10

Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series- HOLY shyt. I was not ready. It really feels like I'm Luke in Empire in lightsaber training. Holding a lightsaber and seeing your hand as Darth Vader is such a powerful feeling. It's super addictive. I got up to level 2 before I had to sit down. I can see doing this every day. The only thing I would change is to have more other Jedi trick/training, but maybe they do and I just haven't found them yet. I also think some voice-over with SW characters like The Emperor would be fun. 9/10.

Can you guys give a list of "must-try" VR games/programs/events, especially for the Oculus Quest 2. There's a lot to choose from, and it's a bit overwhelming. I appreciate any recs.

do you have a gaming PC to use it with or are you using it standalone?
i have a bunch to say but i wanna know where you are at first.

Just a standalone. I'm totally new to this gaming thing. Would a PC gaming system enhance things?

yes.

you can wirelessly connect to your pc via your Quest 2 via wifi.
this means you can download games to your PC's hard drive instead or your headset.
it also means that games you play off of your PC on your headset are using the PC's hardware rather than the headset's. it's piff.
i get many games & apps off Steam or other 3rd party platforms that you can't get from
the Oculus store.

i could go on and on. ask me whatever you want.

Superhot
Walking dead saints and sinners
Walkabout minigold
Fishermans tale
Tetris effect
Pavlov shack ( app lab)
Titans of space plus
Thrill of the fight
Ancient dungeon beta ( app lab)
Arizona sunshine
Moss
Robo recall

The app lab games are free but you have to search the exact title. Its easier to Google it and go from there.

You should also learn about sidequest so you can put custom songs on beat saber, play half life 1, quake 1 and 2, return to castle wolfenstein, and doom 1, 2 and 3 VR converted for the quest.

I would recommend joining the quest subreddit as many people put cool experimental VR stuff on there.

Oh this is great, I love that you can add your own music to beat saber. Thanks for the suggestions and reddit link.
