Rivers would give us a chance to win the Super Bowl imo. It's not happening, but he's really good. If we're not counting Favre and no disrespect to Joe Willie- he'd be the best QB this franchise has ever had.

But for how long? It's not worth trading a first rounder in my opinion. If you could guarantee 5 years out of him, then ok. But you most likely aren't getting that.

We'd have to have the first or second pick to trade for him anyways bc I think the Chargers want Mariotta. Most realistic scenario is Rivers ends up in Tennessee.

No,he isnt. You can draft a player that can shape your franchise for 10+ years with that pick. Players in there 30s who havent really accomplishing anything other than stats in the passing era arent worth that. Especially in the NFL where the value of picks has always been higher than NFL players.

Any GM who makes that move would be fired shortly after.

Maccagnan's going to get fired for spending like a sailor and having Geno/Fitzpatrick at QB. Rivers would be the best QB this franchise has had. Without the QB, you're screwed.

Rivers has finished in the top 10 in DVOA pretty much every season of his career. The Jets have had that maybe once or twice over the past 40 years.
