Aldon has similar problems but he's one of the best rushers in the NFL. He's worth the risk. So is Gregory:

Gregory is as long as JJ Watt.

Aldon's also missed a ton of games. I would take Beasley and Dupree over Gregory when factoring the off the field stuff. All 3 are studs physically.

As for Watt vs Gregory...Watt is pushing 290lbs while Gregory plays at 240.

Dupree grades out like Mario while Beasley is like Von Miller imo

Beasley is weak against the run and Dupree doesn't have much length. Gregory is better against the run and has length. He's not the same player as JJ Watt (he has a different body type) but he's very similar. It's unlikely he'll serve as much time as Aldon, and I'd still sign Aldon.

We wouldnt be drafting Beasley to play the run, we have plenty of guys who can do that. Pass rusher is a dire need. And when youre that freaky athletically, length isnt all that important.

I'm gonna miss the draft in NY... kinda

I know we need a pass rusher, but man this organization better be good at finding gems late because it's a damn shame we've drafted defense 1st round 6 years straight and we still needed major renovations there

We're starting from square one here. Rex/Tanny were clueless when it came to the draft. Wilson and Coples were both shytty picks.

The Jets have been pretty average drafting in the first round though, its the second and third rounds where they've completely shyt the bed.

What's good to know is Houson/Arizona have traditionally favored the agility/explosion tests when selecting pass rushers. Guys like Coples and Gholston had shytty combines when you look past the 40 times and bench.

I know we need an OT too, but this is such a weak draft class for those.

The only ones that I really really like are Peat, Humphries, and Flowers

I prefer a disciplined rusher with Aldon Smith/JJ Watt measurables over T-rex arm but explosive Beasley whom can't beat OTs with anything other than a speed rush. If Beasley's initial rush fails, he needs more technique to succeed than Gregory does. Gregory's size and hips mean he can beat OTs from the start with a wider variety of moves.

Gregory doesnt have JJ Watt measureables.

He has the length and height. He weighs less and has smaller hands but the comparison is still valid. Gregory's numbers mean he can put on some weight without losing speed too.

Breh Watt's explosion numbers are from another planet...Gregory aint that. They play two different positions anyways.
