Maccagnan's going to get fired for spending like a sailor and having Geno/Fitzpatrick at QB. Rivers would be the best QB this franchise has had. Without the QB, you're screwed.

Rivers has finished in the top 10 in DVOA pretty much every season of his career. The Jets have had that maybe once or twice over the past 40 years.
Spending like a sailor? As opposed to Idzik who spent nothing? Money is made to be spent, and as long as we're a better team at the beginning of this season as opposed to the end of last, no way is he getting fired. That only happens if we have 3 more years of what we've been having which I seriously doubt. Getting Rivers would be mortgaging the future on a QB that noone is sure about. Rivers doesn't even know what he wants to do next year, or if his body can even hold up. Why would we trade the 6th picks for that. Continue to build the team and we'll see what happens at QB next year when presumably the prospects will be better.

Obviously it'd be dependent on Rivers wanting to be here(which was the problem with Favre). But hypothetically if Rivers was gung ho on NY, Bowles and Gailey it would be an absolute no brainer. We have the most expensive secondary in the history of the league and we're pairing it with Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Rivers is only 33 and playing like an All-Pro. He'd give us a chance to actually win.

if you're talking about Superbowl though, you're not likely to win it with a QB you acquired from someone else.

Gregory needs to be on that list
my personal top 5? He'd probably be in my top 10 :yeshrug:

I'm not gonna be upset if we did. I'm still reluctant to see a defense-heavy draft so even if it's defensive guys in my top 5 I hope they address offense early.

5 players I want them to avoid

1. Ray
2. Fowler
3. Leonard Williams (not because I don't think he's good but because I think it would mean they're shopping Mo Wilk)
4. Gurley (LOVE Gurley but not at 6)
5. Mariota

He's better than Beasly and Dupree.

He DOESNT LOSE BATTLES when engaged even at his size. Dude is country strong and elusive.

Why is everyone high on Vic Beasley? I didn't watch him play last season but the year before he had a Michael Sam season. He'd dominate vs lesser competition (he had like all his sacks on 3 games) and be ghost vs better teams.

those Von Miller comparisons he's getting are starting to seep into my mind. Whoever his PR firm is gotta be getting some coin
