Thibs had the audacity to send out Brooks, Hinrich & Noah to start that 4th Q

down 10 or whatever, game 6, win or go home ... and you trot those dudes out there? :dahell:
Bulls were lucky to be down 13 at the end of the 3rd. They won the tip, so I knew they were going to have the ball coming out to start the 4th...

Then I saw that lineup and I knew the game was over.

What's even more retarded about that is how Pau wasn't playing his reg rotational minutes so he could have easily started the quarter with Pau instead of Noah

Pau was shaking his head when Thibs was putting him in later in the 4th then ... :heh:

Lead went up to 19 by then

:francis:

Thibs is probably the only coach in the NBA that would have that lineup on the floor given the situation. He's truly one of a kind

the bulls lost this series because they never learned nothing from the spurs vs lebron. they should have let lebron go iso vs butler (who held his own with him), they kept doubling and leaving shooters open for 3s. they could have lived with lebron going off and not getting other players involved. those wide open 3s and terrible pick and roll defense did it to them- they couldn't decide to trap or switch on it and did nothing but leave open looks. it was like how in 09, bron went crazy but with no other consistent help- he still lost that year. same thing last year vs san an

thibs was shaky also with his rotations- snell shoulda got more run and even though mcdermott is shaky on d, you need shooting out there to space the floor. he never played those dudes enough for them have the proper confidence to step up. a lot of cleveland players were playoff rookies but blatt allowed them to play and learn. sometimes you have to give a little to gain something. no reason for a team that talented to go on scoring droughts like they do.

thibs should have matched butler's minutes with bron- it was hard to keep summoning late game runs when dude was tired late in games. thibs probably checked out though this game- he knows he probably done there. with kyrie hurting, love out and smith out 2 games- they blew a golden opportunity

Said this from the jump.

Lebron dropped 38 in Game 5 and the Bulls were right there to win the game late if they didn't have so many bad late possessions. They enabled the role players to kill them, and played right into Lebron's strengths which is to make his teammates better.

It's harder to defend LeBron that way with the Cavs cause Iman and JR can both get to the rim, so even if they're covered man to man they can still blow by their defender. Look at all the times Iman got by Dunleavy and Niko tonight, he was killing you guys off the dribble, when the Cavs go small they have 4 ball handlers which is incredibly rare for a team to have. They legit had 4 dudes on the floor that were a threat to shoot, dish, or drive tonight.

Last year nobody outside of LeBron could create a shot, even if it were a bailout, this Cavs team even without Love is still dangerous cause of the Iman/JR smith combo when they go small. Those two guys averaged 13ppg each vs you, it's hard to win a series when two different role players can get double digits like that. When the Cavs go small It turns LeBron into a PF, and then you have to guard one of their wings with somebody that has no business guarding them because Butler had to be on LeBron.
