I gotta go with Fresh on this one, only because of the fact that BBTP used samples in their music. Not all the time, but some of NL hits were influenced by older records, not all.

Fresh was as original as they come.

Fresh used a shytton of samples tho, like Triggerman, or listen to Juve's Follow Me Now

BBTP beats didnt really age well to me.

Fresh IMO was better than all of them

BBTP 96/97 stuff aged great imo. Some of their 98/99 NL stuff too (Give It 2 Em Raw cuts f.e.)

Thoughts on Mystikals Lets get it ready and Tarantula?

Cool but not great. Mystikal was the type of guy GREAT on features but too much for an entire album, like Busta or Jada. Unpredictable was his only excellent album, debut was really good, GF was wack mostly, LGR was pretty good, Tarantula mediocre

After listening to both No Limit and Cash Money albums for the last few weeks. I gotta say BBTP & Mannie are even imo.

KLC and Mannie were about even, though I prefer KL. I don't really compare BBTP as a whole to Mannie because it's a whole squad vs one dude. Still, where I think KLC was better is because he had the hard, rowdy tracks then he came with the more laid back introspective tracks and could take it to the club and sometimes he went out of his comfort zone especially with what he was giving Fiend.

part of it was KLC track selection...he skipped over some bangers and aint really know how to work the crowd
