how come mystikal never dropped "ready to rumble"
Mystikal was loyal to KLC (and BBTP/medicine men), issues with P didn't work out, he would have stayed on NL if it wasn't for P playing hardball about not using BBTP, I think P & Outkast (who collaborated with Mystikal in mid-99 for Neck Uv Da Woods, and produced some songs a year later on Let's Get Ready) weren't exactly in good terms either, so it was basically different visions between P & Mystikal, so Mystikal had Jive behind him anyway and left the tankhow come mystikal never dropped "ready to rumble"

I think some of the Neptunes songs would have still been on the NL album tho. Don't think Mystikal was feelin' the new Soulja Productions team (XL, Suga Bear, Ezell, plus Myke Diesel)
That's just political talk for what I wrote. It was a personal thing with P & Mystikal.I remember reading that Mystikal leaving the tank had something to do with Jive. It had to do with his contract.
Personally, I looked at it as Jive saw how viable Mystikal was without hit singles. They weren't exactly pushing him, but when connected with the tank, he had the attention that Jive wasn't giving him. After two platinum albums in a row, they hopped on the Mystikal bandwagon and started giving him a budget. Mystikal took off into another level of success so much, they modeled Petey Pablo after him. I remember Too Short talking about how the whole paradigm at Jive shifted. He was saying they were this big label for teeny bopper boy bands and female pop singers, but by 2000, every rapper had to have cornrows and a bandanna. They even had the Pop stars rocking that look. Short talked about how he wasn't down with it and just did him.

Jive started pushing him in 2000 obviously, he previously sold more than E-40 or Too Short or their other rap acts, went platinum every time. So they put the mainstream perfume on him, some Neptunes singles, some Earthtone 3 beats, features from Da Brat, Outkast, Pharrell, updated "hip" look as you stated, plus pushing Petey Pablo as their other big upcoming dirty south star
Yep and Short would later comment that they stopped promoting his products bc as he said "Too $hort always sells" so they cut his marketing and promotion budget in half.I remember reading that Mystikal leaving the tank had something to do with Jive. It had to do with his contract.

yeah they had a issue, I think it was the monica issue with C and P obviously didn't like that shyt either @OHSNAP! can you verify?I definitely think it became personal because Mystikal sent a shot at No Limit saying he was carrying the label. This was compounded by the fact that Juve was also on that song.

Silkk and Mystikal had a friendly rivalry with each other so I can see the chemistry they had (that's why silkk changed his flow up) I wonder how C and Mystikal would've vibed on that Tank Doggs albumMystikal's issue with C-Murder stemmed from Mystikal making the "label carrying" remark on "Settle The Score" with Juvenile. That's when C-Murder dropped "Bet Ya", which was a Mystikal diss that was a hidden bonus track on C-Murder's TRU Dawgs. P never publicly went at Mystikal. Master P did imply that he ghostwrote "Shake It Fast" in an interview though.
It never seemed that C and Mystikal were ever really THAT cool with each other. C-Murder wasn't on Unpredictable and Mystikal wasn't on Bossalinie. Between the two of them, they have like four songs together ("Don't Play No Games", "Running From The Police", "Stack Yo Chips", and "What U Bout"). The rest are 504 Boyz songs or posse cuts. Mystikal had plenty of songs with Silkk and Master P., which eventually led to the formation of the original 504 Boyz. They were on multiple songs on each other's albums. I don't know if it was just chemistry or Mystikal and C just didn't click like that.
Just rumours out there bruh, no one confirmed emyeah they had a issue, I think it was the monica issue with C and P obviously didn't like that shyt either @OHSNAP! can you verify?
