@JustCKing what was your opinion on Carlos Stephens, people say he was the weakest BBTP member but to me he brought hella bangers and it seemed like his production was more intricate.
He's had some clunkers too tho, I agree that he was mostly solid and delivered alotta raw gutta tunes. His earlier work on Skull Dugrey's debut album was excellent. Beats he did for Snoop and 504 Boyz were usually hot. He wasn't better than the other 4 BBTP members, pretty sure bout that

He was a part of Soulja Music Production. He co-produced songs with Suga Bear sometimes. He didn't take up as many credits though. After 504 Boyz Goodfellas ("Uptown" produced with Suga Bear), he didn't really produce on other albums.

UPTOWN was my chit.

@OHSNAP! @JustCKing

Who was anita thomas? was she a no limit songstress?

She sang on some songs most notably Snoop's "Slow Down" and Mystikal's "Life Ain't Cool". If I'm not mistaken, she was also involved in the business side of things. I remember seeing her name with Barbara Pescosolido in the booklets. I can't remember what they did though

that's Porsche.

unless youre saying the other jawn did background vocals.

They credited Anita Thomas on that one. She sounds different than Porsha although they do look alike:

Speaking of Porsha, her album was supposed to drop 7/20/1999. It was advertised with that date in Fiend's booklet, but the date came and no album. However, CD Universe had that album.on back order. It was never explained. She still appeared on No Limit albums, but after C-Murder's Trapped In Crime, she wasn't heard from again and her album wasn't advertised after Silkk's My World, My Way.

Mercedes' album came out just three weeks earlier tho, I bet there was just no time left to make/promote Porsha's album, plus the problems with BBTP....they should have released her album in 2000, but by that point P and C already switched to Erica Foxx (prolly got ran thru by both) as their main singstress

I agree, No Limit had a dope R&B squad. I wished they would've dropped R&B albums from the following:

O'dell

Erica Fox (Given how they were heavily featuring her on albums, I thought she was definitely about to drop an album)

Peaches

Dolliole (singer from Ghetto Commission)

Porsha

What's crazy is Mercedes' album was like a showcase of No Limit's R&B talent. Sons of Funk had credits on several songs. O'dell is featured on and produced some songs. Erica Foxx debuted on that album. Peaches was heavily featured.

Yup and it turned out to be a good album! Never heard anyone trash its quality. Dolliole was really talented too just like his GC patnas Holloway and G-Spade. Last time I heard of Sons Of Funk on NL was on the Only God Can Judge Me album. There was actually never an advertisement for an O'Dell album

While, I would've liked an O'dell album, it seems like he was never really interested in being an artist. He killed it on the features and production tip, but "Nothing Stays The Same" is the only solo joint I can think of from him (and even that had Porsha on it).
