He was dope, he was their cousin so that's why they made sure he was on ghetto d, CI2TG and LOD. My favorite GF member along with Pheno
Pheno was first heard on Fiend or Slim's album in spring 98, then Reginelli and Malachi first appeared on Magic's debut in September iirc

I wonder what Nas thought when he heard Silkk's verse here:mjlol:Mamma Mia ripped it of course

On Made Man he was at his worst

There’s are some rare exceptions where his style works and the verse is kinda dope, but on the majority of songs he just goes full retard :mjlol:

I never listened to made man apart from the snoop & jay z songs, how bad is it ?:lupe:

He was better before Ghetto D, after that til Da Crime Family (basically NL golden days) he had that horrible choppy flow most times

Made Man was a major disappointment, BBTP were way overworked and didn't have anything left in the tank, Silkk was at his worst, wanted to experiment somewhat (No Limit, Because Of You, This Is 4 My) and those were the worst songs. We Won't Stop with TRU (was supposed to be on Da Crime Family, which was a way better album and worth checking out) and the cut with Ghetto Commission were good, everything else was mediocre (Jay feature, Snoop feature, C feature) or bad

What I always wondered is how the hell no one on the label told dude that his, well, „flow“ was terrible. Like how the hell everybody in the studio is just co-signing it like „yeah, dope verse man :obama:
A deaf man could hear how horrible a majority of his verses sound, its mindblowing

Guess nobody wanted to piss P's lil bro off, so to not create tension. I think some didn't give a fukk and would have said sth (Slim, Bleed, C-Loc, Mac, KLC, Mo B probably), they prolly just moved on. Silkk was just a nice guy too

Jep, all the little pieces of interviews ive seen from him he always seemed very nice & relaxed, but If I was a rapper and had some good songs and all of a sudden Silkk comes up to me like "Hey, give me a second I have a great verse for that" Id be like :mjcry:

btw: Are you someone that actually got inside knowledge/were around some people from NL ? :patrice:
I always see you speaking about all kinds of stuff from the nl era, along with a couple other posters frequently contributing here...

him and mystikal used to go back and forth, that was his rival. So he and Serv-On switched they style up when he came to the tank, Bay area Silkk was cool.

its pretty bad, especially coming off of Charge It 2 Da Game...and i know thats weird coming from someone with the cover as his avi :mjlol:

but..yeah..at the time i played the shyt on repeat like I did every No Limit album back then

the revisit was :francis:

The Day I Was Made, Be With You, It Takes More, We Cant Stop, All Because Of You are still dope to me....everything else is a skip

matter fact, as i type this im gettin mad that he disrespected the original "MR." with that trash remake

still trying to understand how he managed to be dope on Crime Family but drop the ball on Made Man

Made Man was such a bad album. I re-listened to it s couple weeks ago and it was as terrible as I remembered. It had none of the appeal that Charge It To Da Game had
