Yeah he’s more Talented than Devin I know that I’m not really familiar with Will
May be more talented, but they have a while to reach that potential. Right now we need the QB with the higher floor for a team with this much talent. If one of them was in their second year that’s a different story.

Practice two intel:

It was just one practice so take it FWIW, but wanted to share some intel I heard ahead of practice two today:

QB: Devin Brown has definitely used this off-season as motivation. He thrives when people doubt him and he’s continued to progress. That said, Will Howard is legit and as one person put it “is a perfect fit for Chip”. Will be interesting to see how this battle turns out. I was told by one person that while Julian Sayin has a ways to go before he’s QB1 ready that “it is apparent he is the real deal when you watch him throw the ball”. I was also told that Lincoln Kienholz was “noticeably bigger in frame and looked really comfortable throwing the pigskin”. One source gave kudos to walkon Mason Maggs as well.

Jeremiah Smith: You have heard everyone gush about him who was at practice and my sources confirmed the gushing was warranted. Real deal 100%.

OL: Staff really is liking the fit of Luke Montgomery at right guard. For what Chip Kelly wants to do he is a good fit as an athletic big who can pull and get to the second level. Seth McLaughlin left some to be desired in session one and Carson Hinzman came out looking better. Josh Fryar has really stepped up this offseason but spring will be big in determining if he can hold down RT or they need to go to the portal potentially.

Chip Kelly: Heard he has been pretty intense and bringing a toughness to the offensive room. One source said “I think (Bill) O’Brien would have been great for a lot of reasons but this really worked out better for us. Chip and Ryan are really synched up and aligned. Chip’s scheme matches better with the personnel we have too.”

@papa pimp you read this shyt?

They said Chip is bringing a 'toughness' to the team. :deadrose:

OSU brehs... if you're relying on Chip to bring toughness, then look into pickleball or some shyt :heh:

Chip...

Toughness...

:laff:

4 in a row coming soon!

Didn’t your RB coach - who is 0-4 himself against OSU as a player - just get fired because he threw a hissy fit about not getting the HC job? Y’all will be happy to be bowl eligible next year. Anything less than a 4 TD victory is a disappointment against this shell of a team.

3) Chip is soft as baby shyt.
4) 4 in a row... coming soon.

Edit: Good luck even scoring 4 TD's against this defense. :mjlol:

Not what Balas said. He was let go. Threw a hissy fit and Moore gave him some time off for personal time until he was formally let go. Not renewing a contract is firing. It’s what we did with Cory Dennis.

You really have the audacity to talk a QB room with like four 5* QBs, meanwhile y’all have Orji who is a glorified wildcat RB, and a dude who is like 44 years old and still basically never played. But let me guess, a new QB is going to emerge and save y’all in the portal like you said.

Y’all whole defensive staff is gone. Defense will be average while offense will be bottom of the conference. Replacing the entire OL. A RB that won’t get a yard unless he gets a gaping wide open hole to run through, and zero weapons outside. Get ready to battle for bowl eligibility.

You sound.. worried.

I get it.

I would be too.

Remember tho bozo, we don’t need a superstar at QB to win. I’d like to think our NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP proved that point.

You don’t even speak with the same conviction as you used to. I see right through you.
