Haha, so Gletiman reported on the situation. Basically, Knowles got his feelings hurt when Day addressed the defense after the first Oregon game. He never got over that and wanted to leave. Day doing whatever he did led to the most dominant defensive run in OSU history. Have fun getting 40 hung on your defense on November 1, James.

Can't be scared of being coached/critiqued at any age, any position, at anytime lol smh.

Austin Ward is saying it’s at least being discussed to try to bring in Jim Leonhard as co-DC with Matt Guerrieri. I think regardless, at this point Matt will be the DC in some capacity. A lot of people around the Woody apparently think very highly of him. I’m not sure if Leonhard runs a similar system. I’m also still very surprised Wisky didn’t retain him when they hired Fickell.

I know Leonhard had Top 11 defenses in Wisky his entire tenure there besides maybe 1 yr. He like to run dat 3-4 tho that he got from runnin' with Rex Ryan before. I know Day luv him some mfs wit NFL experience though so not shocked he'd be kickin' the tires on bro.

Saw sum suggestions about Day gettin' into his poaching bag too & maybe takin' a look at Co-DC in ORE, Hampton. Would be funny since we already took their RB coach and they seem to be using the same crootin' board we use. Plus Hampton was on staff with Matt when he was Co-DC at Duke. But don't know that Hampton would leave one Co DC position just to be Co DC here but stranger things have happened.

I saw trolling about getting Saban. Haha. But for real, I could see Hafley, but I think he runs a different defense. Plus he might just enjoy being away from college even if he doesn’t have to be involved in recruiting and business side like Knowles. I think there might be a co-DC thing only because GuerrerI is still very young for this role (I think 35). But we’ll see.
