No Junk Food Challenge... Anyone?

A few years ago, I ate 100 percent clean, for a month. I lost so much weight. I think I'm gonna do that for the month of June, starting today. I really need to jump start my weight loss

Anyway, I've been using fruit to help with any cravings I've had (bananas, grapes, watermelon) and drinking a ton of water. Had multiple opportunities to eat junk food today and just said no.
Fruit helps for sure. This weekend was bad. Killed a box of Honey Bunches of Oats and I basically consider cereal to be like cookies/candy. Very little nutritional value besides some fiber. Today is going OK though, first day I haven't had candy or chips at work probably in months if not years :francis: Just riding the momentum of the carbs I got this weekend. Feeling good so far, trying to go strong through June with like 2 refeeds.

Day 7: it's been a week already? Are my days correct?

Anyway... starting to think of and want junk food less and less. Gonna slow down on bread now because I feel like I've been eating a little too much of it.

Day 9: we went grocery shopping yesterday so there is a ton of snacks sitting around and I'm not even worried.

2 weeks ago I would be sitting around thinking about some cookies in the kitchen until I just had to get up and get them :dead: now it's not really crossing my mind.


Once I get completely disciplined with counting cals, I'm straight.


Honestly expected this challenge to be harder than it is.

I definitely have to do this to some extent. Ima start slow. Starting Monday at work, no buying candy, chips, doughnuts, or cookies. Ima start a Junk Free June Challenge. Only on sweets tho. Still gonna mess with fast food in moderation. I usually take food to work anyways. Plus it's mostly healthy stuff like mixed vegetables and lately my mom's been making quinoa. I rarely ever eat rice. Only time I'll likely eat a sugar snack is when I hit up the movies. Grab the healthiest pack of gummy bears and that's it. I'll be drinking water then also. I have the movie pass account and rarely use it so I wanna start going weekly or biweekly. Plus have to get the popcorn of course. But I'm gonna cut my candy consumption considerably. Been slacking lately on the gym and being active. Can't let myself go further. Bout to hit up Walmart for some apples and oranges since I haven't reupped in a little while to take to work. I was at 176 the other day. Need to get down to atleast 171 by fourth of July. Either that or get cut some more even if I put on more muscle. I'm focused now.

I've been on a sugar cleanse for a minute now. Whenever i've caught a sweet tooth i just drink a glass of water instead these days. Now when I've had sugary foods, i can definitely feel the crash afterwards.

Prior to the cleanse, i was eating starbursts wrapped in an airhead at work followed by a shot of espresso :russ:

I'm drinking less coffee at work now too, due to not having sugar crashes anymore.

It's definitely worth kicking sugar from your diets, brehs.

I just eat fruits specifically watermelon. I haven't had any sweets in 88 days, June 15 will be a glorifies day

edit* I drink zero sugar energy drinks :mjlol:

Honestly, I really don't know what happened but I fell off something serious last year and never got it together. It's a huge setback but a lesson learned. I always thought losing the weight was the hard part but keeping it off was what I should have really been worried about.
