No Junk Food Challenge... Anyone?

Been junk food free (no soda, juice, sweets, chips, bread) since April 9th. It was rough for the 1st couple of weeks, but at this point, I have no problem sticking to the diet. I plan on sticking with it for a couple more months, but my daughters 1st birthday is mid June and I most likely will end up sharing a slice of cake or cupcake with her. Its gonna be interesting to see if I can get back on track after that.
Come on man, celebrate that birthday to the fullest and then get back to it.

No diet is worth it if you can’t enjoy moments like that when your kid is making a mess of a cake.

No diet is worth it if you can’t enjoy moments like that when your kid is making a mess of a cake.

Definitely gonna celebrate and have fun. Just not gonna go overboard with the junk food.

I’m actually doing fine, I started today and have been able to quell my craving with greek yogurt and yogurt berry bars. My cupboard looks weird with no chips :mjcry:
It’s funny how different junk food vices are. I could not eat potato chips again and be fine. Other things, not so much

I eat ice cream once a year and could def live without eating cake ever again. Hate Oreos and not a fan of cookies, many desserts in general but I have a vicious taste for salt.

Day 3: woke up not even kind of hungry so I just had my first meal about an hour ago. Don't know how I went to sleep feeling like I was starving but woke up fine.

Anyway, I've been using fruit to help with any cravings I've had (bananas, grapes, watermelon) and drinking a ton of water. Had multiple opportunities to eat junk food today and just said no.


Going to make plans to go to the gym at least 3 times next week.

I did this the whole month of April and most of May while continuing my regular workout schedule of 4-5 times a week and the results are showing. Its gone be hard to keep a shirt on this summer.

Edit* I was able to quell my cravings for sweets by eating peanuts in place of a snack. I already drink almost nothing but water so I was good on that end.

I've managed to stay away from junk food snacks(chips, candy, cake, etc) since late February, but I'll still eat a junk food meal 1-2 times a week. Those snacks are evil, I've dropped from 203 to 180 without them.

Back in winter, before I decided to change my eating habits, there was a day where I ate two large bags of Doritos one after the other. One was the regular nacho cheese, the other was cool ranch. :noah:

Damn. I barely eat junk food, but this thread makes me want junk food. :ohhh:

Day 5?: still going strong. No juice, chips, candy or eating out. Even had some reeses laying around that I didn't touch :wow:

Diet still ain't the best it could be but cutting out the random excess calories is a start.
