Because he's the better scorer. @BuddyOmar
full

You're right, but let's be a little more specific: LeBron is the best enhanced scorer the NBA has ever seen. LeBron is an abuser of banned substances.

Yes, yes, I know. Melo has an (seemingly) unnaturally huge rear-end, but it's actually entirely God-given. He never had to cheat like LeRoid did and he's more skilled so he's hands down the better player.

LeBron (24,383) is almost 3400 points ahead of him career-wise. Carmelo (20,924) was missed 59 more games. However, if Melo didn't miss those games, he would still be 1900 points behind, which is what around Melo averages.

Is it really as simple as LeBron drives more

thus shooting more efficient shots (layups / dunks)

vs Carmelo shooting more from the outside?

Or is it East Vs West competition levels?
It's really as simple as (2.2 more points X 830 games Melo played) + (27.2 average X 59 extra games)

1826 + 1604 = 3430 extra points

math, breh :yeshrug:

LeBron didn't settle on anything. He wanted to be a good rebounder, he wanted to be a good playmaker, and he wanted to be a good scorer. Carmello was happy being a scorer.

Why did you calculate it the way you did and where is the 27.2 average coming from, G?
Its the extra points per game difference between their averages (2.2), plus the approximation of the extra points Bron scored in 59 more games.

Meant to be 27.4, Bron's average. Point being its a rough approximation to check if the math checks out and it does, as it come out to around the 3400 extra points that separates them.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
He's never been “well above” 50%. His career high is 56.7%. His first time hitting 50% was in '09, the year before he left the Cavs. He was at 50.3%. He's primarily a slasher, so he should be shooting well above 50% for his career. He's not even at 50%. He gets punked by defenders half his size (Barea, Kidd, Jason Terry, CP3, Patty Mills). The end.

:wtf:

He's on a new team, and you're laughing at him for not shooting 50% this year when a "down" year for his FG% would be a career high for Melo :dead:

Tell that butterball Melo to work on his body and maybe he too would be able to get to the rim, you try to dismiss LeBron being a slasher as though it's easier to get to the rim and finish, when there are more players like Melo with jumpers than there are guys like LeBron. KD does everything Melo does, except he does it better and even he's not as good a player as Bron, why you ride so hard for Melo is beyond me :smh:

This thread is stupid but let me help you out

In Denver Melo played in a high scoring uptempo offense plus Melo played with AI for 2 seasons while Lebron got to dominate clevelands offense and do whatever he wanted too so the more higher usage rate and as for fg % Melo like Kobe tend to take bad shots while Lebron doesn't and Lebron gets to the rack more than Carmelo and his a better finisher at the rim but in terms of jump shooting and offensive arsenal Melo has more skills set Melo can post, shoot the three, shoot the midrange thats why Melo is a better pure scorer but Lebron's body just makes him more effective in that he can batter ram his way to the rim very effectively.

Show me all the slashers who have consistently scored around the clip Lebron has and at Lebron's efficiency.

Lebron's effectiveness when slashing is more effective than Melo's entire game.

Despite all that incredible offensive arsenal, he's never avg'ed 30ppg in a season :mjlol:. Prime Melo with a horrible Knicks team with JR Smith as the second option couldn't average 30 points for 1 season? :ohhh:. Sounds like Melo is good at a lot of things but he's not great at one particular thing. As for your point about Lebron having a higher usage rate, that's incorrect. Melo has a higher rate of using possessions for less points and assists with a worse efficiency. Below is a list of their usage rates for their career and Melo used the ball more on possessions but he just turns it over or takes more FGA :russ:

Melo

2003/2004 - 28.5
2004/2005 - 29.2
2005/2006 - 32.0
2006/2007 - 33.4

2010/2011 - 32.0
2011/2012 - 31.8
2012/2013 - 35.6
2013/2014 - 32.4
2014/2015 - 32.3

Career- 31.8

Bron

2003/2004 - 28.2
2004/2005 - 29.7
2005/2006 - 33.6
2006/2007 - 31.0
2007/2008 - 33.5
2008/2009 - 33.8

I keep seeing people say that Lebron only averages 27ppg with 7apg for his career because he handles the ball all the time. Well Melo is the best example to disprove that because he's a hall of fame level player that has the same usage rate but nets lower points and assists.
