When the season ended, there were reports that you had issues with Derrick Rose.

I don't think we have any issues. I think we're fine. I think we're two basketball players that want to win games. That's where I'll leave it at. I think we just wanna win, bring a championship the city, to the organization. I think that's our job. And I think we're gonna do whatever it takes to make that happen. I have a lot of respect for the guy.

So there's no truth to the reports?

I never read the reports so I couldn't tell you what they said. To tell you the truth, if you read it, something's going to piss you off, so I really don't. There's a lot of people that think I'm a terrible basketball player, so it's just gonna piss me off. And if it's people who think I'm good, I'll be happy. I'm just not gonna read it at all and stay content in my own mind.

Have you gotten a chance to talk to new Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg?

Yeah, I talked to Hoiberg. He's a really good coach. He knows what he's doing. He has some great offensive schemes and a great coaching staff. I think he's gonna be good for the Bulls. I think Chicago will like him. He's a very likeable guy, very successful at the college level and hopefully he can bring it to the Bulls.

Though I dapped this post, let's not forget how stubborn Thibs was at rotations. I'm not condoning their nonsense though. They need to make moves.

No denying the rotations.. We had the better roster and should have won that series..

Teams improve every year.. The FO is either arrogant or naive to believe they can stand pat with the same roster that lost to a team missing two all stars and expect different results because of coaching change... Probably both..

I'm sure they'll use the Warriors as an example to support their cause though:francis:

Just a Kid From Chicago
There was definitely some awkwardness on the court between Rose and Jimmy. I had seen in several instances where either Rose or Jimmy would bring up the ball, then one of them would just hand the ball off to the other and would stay in one spot ball watching the other. I just had chalked it up to the game of Thibs' unimaginative offense :manny:....

I couldn't care less about these two having an apparent rift in the past - the entire locker room seem to be toxic and on edge last season to be honest. I just know they both better get it together this season and learn how to play off one another because there's going to be plenty of opportunity for that under Hoiberg's offense, and running the break in general.

I've been watching clips of his half court offensive sets, and I just salivate at the A1 ball movement....

Personally, I'm not buying LMA to Miami. But let's say he does go, it's not like Miami can just send scrubs back. They will be giving up valuable players/picks in return.

Nikkas want to trade Niko, Portis and a potential lottery pick for LMA?? Nah fam, this is one of those times I'm glad our FO is super conservative.

The window for the Bulls to trade for LMA closed last year when people acted like Jo was the cornerstone of the franchise. We could've potentially had LMA for Jo and change when his value was sky high. Now, ya'll wanna trade most of our young, high-ceiling talent for a dude who is fast approaching 30. Yeah, I'm good.

Who said trade Niko, Portis & the Sac pick?

I suggested Pau/Niko.

Pau is gonna leave after this season regardless, and while it would KILL to lose Niko, we would have a 4-5 year window with Rose, Jimmy & LMA to build around. I would maybe lean towards your side in not doing the trade, but we have sat on assets since the Baby Bulls days, and never cashed in. It would be nice to see them do it for a change. In two summers the cap is expected to rise to 108 - 110 mil. We could tie up around 60-65 mil between Rose, Jimmy, LMA right now yearly, and still have significant capspace in the 2017 summer to add to that core, along with Snell, Doug & Portis and hopefully a lottery pick from Sac in the next two seasons.

If the Bulls wanted to make a play for Aldridge, why did they sign Pau last year for 3 years?

because its an easily tradeable contract and he was the best option on the market when we had capspace, and the LMA talk didnt heat up until late this season

its not like not signing Pau would have put us in a better postion to get LMA if we wished right now, it only helps as a trade piece

hes leaving next summer anyways

300 murders a year
You combine aldridge with rose and jimmy, you have a title contending core for the next 2-4 years minimal. Plus with that core you now have guys wanting to come here to ring chase. You put them 3 together and fill in the blanks.

As much promise as I see in niko, it would be a miracle if he is ever as good as aldridge and a clear top 3 power forward in the league. Same thing for portis and we know taj and pau at this age is not that.

So I say lay our 5 bigs out and pick 2, choose a pick and see if portland bites. This is a team that just went down to a love - less and kyrie injured cavs and coaching has nothing to do with our front court getting handled like they did by mozgov and tristan and let's not forget during the year how they couldn't handle Washington front court either and how Whiteside came here and became a star on our home court. Noah as a dpoy got baptized by nene so I'm not sighting health, we just not good enough.

Now maybe aldridge feel a type of way about the bulls trading him as a rookie so they already know talking to him is a waste but if that is not the case this front office makes no sense not even attempting to talk to yet another star on the move who could get you to the finals.
