I was just coming in here to comment on how crazy it is we only pay Pau 7 mil a season

also just noticed he has a player option for his 3rd season, he is 100% going to decline that next summer and try to cash out one last time with the cap going up and contracts being crazy

Damn, we probably only have dude 1 more season ... lets appreciate it I guess

thats cool. just means he'll be motivated as hell to play good next season.

If we shed Taj's salary for an expiring, we would have some serious capspace next summer (assuming we dont resign Noah, and Pau opts out)

Would only have Rose, Jimmy, Snell, Doug, Dunleavy, Niko, Portis & the MLE on the books

What if we made a huge play for someone like Whiteside (assuming he has another solid season) ?

Personally for me I would be trading a few people, but that's another story

We have the mmle, worth about 2.8 mill

And we can trade taj or noah. I doubt they do either

Wasn't expecting much movement this offseason, now that we got jimmy g and dun locked in we need another pg not really trying to see Kirk out there playing meaningful minutes

Use the MMLE on a solid backup PG and thats about it

Then I would see how the team looks for a couple months, while always keeping Taj on the market for a wing. I dont think Noahs expiring has any value with the cap sky rocketing

before signing dunleavy, if affalo had interest coming here, we coulda cleared some cap space.

I would prefer giving Niko the start, of course assuming he earns it in camp

Also think it provides better balance. I would really prefer Noah coming off the bench and Pau stating next to Niko, but Noah would be HORRID off the bench, especially with Taj

and we had absolutely no chance at signing Afflalo, just trust me

I always wanted afflalo here, but imo he not the kind of player you hurry and clear space for, he should have been had when he was moved to Orlando for 2nd rd picks or moved to Portland for bums and heavily protected 1st in 2017. We could grab Gerald green for half the cost , get the same production and more athleticism.
