I love Jo as much as anyone but we probably should've bit
You have to be creative and have good relationships with other gms and execs to turn situations that are desperate for other teams to a benefit for us.

History has shown these clowns are neither of these things. 3 team deals, getting great young prospects is something the bulls should be exploring but they still trying to prove to themselves they built a true contender and last year's failures are all on thibs.

To get back what?

Dump the contract, maybe even snatch Ed Davis, something that'll hold us over until we find the next C that'll be an energy guy. Jo is getting paid a lot to do practically nothing atm, unless he somehow rejuvenates himself and his career. I do agree with you that we probably should only do it if we have a replacement in place and we get back something notable but I don't think that will ever happen with Noah's trade value at an all-time low.

I agree, and it'll just lead to a stagnated team. A mid-level team that shows no hope of improvement.

Can Derrick Rose still be an All-Star?

I love the way Derrick finished last year. He had explosiveness off the dribble getting into the paint. He made smart plays once he got into the paint. He hit some huge clutch shots. With the system we're going to put in and try to run and get him going downhill, I think that will be very good for Derrick. Being able to work with him on the floor already — I've had a couple sessions with him — I know he's very excited about this upcoming year. Once he goes out to California, I'm going to go spend some time with him out there. I'm also going to spend time with Jimmy (Butler) and Joakim (Noah) in California. I'm going to watch Pau Gasol practice with the Spanish national team in Spain. I look forward to spending quality time with these players and really building those relationships.

Would you be comfortable asking either Noah or Gasol to come off the bench if you conclude that's best for the team?

We'll see how that works out. The great thing about this roster is the different lineups you can play. It's a very versatile roster. You can play small or big. Joakim and Pau I thought had a lot of great times together out there on the floor last year. But there are also times where we will play smaller lineups and try to space the floor.

bulls fans really ready to write off noah THAT easily tho? I know his knees were shyt all season but maybe a solid offseason of rest and a less grind-y coach next season will do his body good and get him back on track:yeshrug:

dude had an excellent season a couple years ago, got worn down by Thibs & was never able to truly recover. I feel like we gotta at least let him try to bounce back before any trade talks or whatever. after all he's done for this team you gotta give the man a chance, you know that boy got heart :to:

Told earlier that Joakim Noah is a player the Lakers would consider if they miss out on acquiring a big FA in the frontcourt.

With DeAndre Jordan now Dallas-bound, Clippers could make sense as a suitor as well.

Flipside: Lakers don't have much to trade and Bulls don't feel they desperately need to part with Noah.

That could be for Jamal Crawford potentially, cuz they trying to trade folk :ehh:....

Not that we do shyt but how has Gerald Green been looking? Haven't heard anything about him..
There are just certain players this front office has made clear they don't want. I just don't think garpax want Gerald green here. He has been there to grab for years. Ben Gordon is out there, Jamal Crawford is too, we just don't seem to want them. We rather get a guy who did well in summer league 3 years ago.
