From the Trib article:

"signs pointed strongly to Jimmy Butler agreeing to either a four- or five-year deal to stay with the Bulls. Butler's deal, in which he is seeking a player option for the final season, could be done as early as Wednesday."

I dont see why its such a joke to ya'll that we should be expecting Snell/McDermott to be starting quality players

They were first round picks, and in Dougs case a lottery pick

I think people frustrations are based in them counting on this instead of actively searching out better alternatives. That is not to say that they aren't it just history bears repeating with their inability to get stuff done.

1) We dont know if they are or not

2) We should absolutely be counting on at least one of them to be starting quality as early as next season

It was apparent to me last season that the FO feels like Snell/McDermott can play.

When Jimmy was out, Snell had similar numbers to Butler when he stepped in for Deng a few years ago and finally got some playing time under Thibodeau. The Bulls have a lot invested in those wings. They could have traded for Afflalo last draft and didn't. And their lack of development probably had something to do with Thibs getting canned.

I see Snell potentially being Danny Green kind of player. I don't know what we'll get with Doug, but I think Snell can play and yal need to wait and see how he looks under Hoiberg before shytting on him. It's his 3rd year in the league, last year he played decent when he got consistent minutes. If these 2 guys pan out, the Bulls will be fine.

The only move I'm expecting is Taj getting dealt at this point.

Im a big believer in Snell

He has range, has shown the ability to drive/finish, great length, defensive potential with his size

I heard Nick Friedell(yeah, I know :ld:) say direct that a big contention the front office had with Thibs, was him not giving guys like Snell, Niko, Doug more consistent roles

I LOVE THE MDJ DEAL.
WE GOT HIM FOR PEANUTS.

I WOULD HAVE BEEN UPSET TO SEE HIM GO.
VERY SOLID PLAYER
AND OUR ONLY CONSISTENT SHOOTER.

How well this team is will depend a lot on how good Hoiberg makes these young guys look and play under him... period.

Relegate Kirk to the bench, and play the youngins and whoever you sign to be the backup PG and they should be good.

Its been the most reasonable signing of the offseason so far, money wise. I still hope the 3rd deal is a team option, or not guaranteed, because we want clean books that summer. and by that time we'd have to hope Doug has made Dun redundant (although, can never have enough shooting)

Dun was playing great ball before his injury

I dont want to come off as a front office apologist, I feel like I do when we go back and forth sometimes

I just think we're stuck with this team for the next couple seasons, and I think there is potential on this roster as constructed to take the East if the right things happen

I completely agree that we are still lacking on the wing, 100%

condescending shyt like this though can :camby:

I could just say keep hoping for 2k trades brehs and be smug about that :francis:
:mjlol: only with the bulls can "actually make a move" be looked at as a 2k move. I think you are selling what that means way short

And I haven't really proposed any deal, I just named the targets, yall naming taj and noah. I purposely didn't say exact trades because I know what's coming behind that. But if I would have told you last year that afflalo would be moved for Thomas Robinson some other scrub and heavily protected 1st picks you would laugh that off, but guess what it happened, if I would have told you both Jr and shump would get moved and all the knicks would get back is 3 non guaranteed contracts that would be laughed off, guess what, it happened. The idea is get something done. Get a 3rd team involved, buy a drat pick idk, but get the shyt done. We been suspect on the wing for 5 years. It's pitiful to not have that locked up by now. Outside of rose and jimmy nothing but question marks.

As far as snell and mcdermott yall have high hopes in the summer league splash brothers. I think we need more impact players right now. Our window not open enough to wait for them to grow up. But that is just my opinion.
