I still don't understand the reason to draft McDermott.. We passed up nurkic and a sevicable backup PG in this years draft - only to have to go and draft big again

I'd rather see the team give up Taj over Noah.

McDermott is unproven, Thibs barely played him and he was hurt for a portion of the year. I still am confident he will be fine.
Snell played very well when Jimmy went down and in the later portions of the year.
And Portis is a lottery talent, honestly I think he will pan out better than Taj. He's younger and has better offensive skill + is taller. Plus Taj has never been able to stretch the floor, something Portis should be able to do eventually given his success in the mid-range/3PT land in college.
