you are ignoring the situation that Peterson is in. He has a terrible QB beside him in the backfield. So terrible that AD's rushing yards are greater than Ponder's passing yards for the last 2 months of games.

You cannot make a blanket statement that RBs are not that important when its clearly the only reason why Minnesota is winning games and even in the playoff hunt.
