The point of Brolin dying how he did was because it didn't fukkin matter. The money don't matter. The chase was just an example of the shyt Jones character was talking about as stated earlier in the thread. If u just go for the money, u won't be happy. Tommy Lee chose spiritual happiness in the end. IMO

lol @ all the bytching about the ending. The movie is called No Country For Old Men, the character the story's about was always Ed Tom Bell. He's of the old school, who take life as it comes and are happy to just be that, alive. Everything else that they achieve in life comes from working for it and nothing less. Llewelyn Moss is the new school, the younger generation that feel they are entitled to success and glory without having to work for it, and who hold this ambition in higher regard than the most precious thing they already own, their lives. And in that world there now walk men who value neither, and to cross them is to forfeit everything and everyone. And with a younger generation out there willing to take that bet, it takes a wise man to know that his time in this world is up, and to value every moment he still has. Ed Tom Bell is such a man. Which is a hundred times more powerful an ending than seeing the 'bet' play out.

I just saw this last week(I know I'm late) I felt like lot of you guys abou the ending. Dope movie but the end was offputting. Then I read a breakdown that put the whole movie in perspective for me. Now I absolutely love this movie, I say it's just above There will be Blood for me
