I'm so glad somebody bought this up.......I just seen it for the first time last night.....and I can honestly say I don't get it.....I was fully engaged until my girl was on some this movie is wack shyt, then I kinda zoned out of the movie......I'm gonna give it another shot cause I'm not convinced that its wack like she said.......I guess my question about the movie is what was the point of tommy lee jones character.....and why they kill homey with the money so sudden

Here's how you should look at it: Tommy lee jones' character was actually the real main character of the movie. He's disillusioned because all he sees is a rise in senseless violence in the country that he can't deal with anymore; anton chasing down the money is just one longgggg example/story of this kind of violence that is meant to prove his point

The ending is him figuring out that the violence he's dealing with isn't new and that EVERY generation thinks they're dealing with evil/violence greater than what past generations had to deal with (for instance: how we talk about Chicago these days)

Great movie but I didn't care for how it ended. I thought Josh Brolins character getting killed by the Mexican cartel happened rather randomly ( if anything I was hoping for a final showdown between him and Anton). As for Antons character, going through the movie killing people with an airgun based on the two-face coin treatment was just badass and although i initially hated the lack of backstory of his character, looking back it made the insanity of his drive to complete his mission that much more intense (man of his word, complete mission by any means, without a complete understanding of what made him this way). Lastly I like the last min laugh in the end after the car accident ( "dude that's a freaking bone" :ooh:)

funny he played the exact same character in the hunted, except he was the one who helped turned benicio del toro into the weapon x like death machine, but in that one he was more like dr.frankenstein trying to kill the monster he created
