I thought Kojima had a chance after Okada talked so much shyt about him prior to the tourney. Nope :heh:

So Kenny has to chase Okada all tournament, beats him in the final day and goes to the Final by having the tie breaker? Gedo tends to be less obvious in the G-1 but that does seem to be the path to it for Block B :patrice:

Okada/Elgin was piff :wow:

Elgin has really won me over in NJPW. Dude bored the shyt outta me in ROH.

Elgin should've won - the crowd was salivating for the upset.

I just can't buy Okada matches - dude gets his ass beaten the whole match and with a couple of rainmakers he wins. It makes his opponents look sort of week too and it's not compelling.

Okada either needs to get more offense in or find a better equalizer to make his comebacks believable.

Elgin should've won to set up a title match down the line but :mjcry:

I can't overstate how much Yoshi Hashi''s face angers me. I could watch Ishii headbutt him all day.

Do you guys keep up with all the G1 matches or just the must-see matches? So far, I've only been watching the ones that are rated more than 4 stars by either Dave or voicesofwrestling.com

Skip all of the tag matches, put the single matches on in the background and only pay attention during the matches I actually care about. Even then, like @stro said, you'll probably still feel burned out after three days.

I always watch the top two matches, generally avoid Makabe/Fale/Kojima matches. It's truly even harder this year, because that leaves a lot of guys.

The roster is stacked, everybody seems to be working smart and spreading the load, the end result is getting a cascade of quality wrestling day after day.

Nagata is an oldtimer, but he still goes, the veteran who pushes the new generation to their limits.

Suzuki disappointed at first, until his match with the Cold Skull IMHO, but he's still a spectacle.

Tama Tonga has really recovered from last year's underwhelming G1 debut. He's been in tags so long, he worked on his singles stuff on the side, and it shows.

EVIL/SANADA hover farther above midcard than ever before, their biggest bouts seeming like legitimate opportunities. That means a lot.

Zack Sabre Jr. is showing out much more than he ever did in the Cruiserweight Classic, featherweight status be damned.

Parse through, get at least an hour of damn good wrestling every day, for sure...but when you can, take the extra stuff in.

The tag matches are typically skippable...just primers for the next show's "main card," and to have everyone on the show, but there are a lot of fun moments and glimpses into the future. Catch it when you can, just don't push it and get burned out.

The booking has been quite solid so far, with a general dose of excitement and the possibility of surprise in each match.

And to finish...
