how is the english commentary?

usually it aint worth
It's aight, their chemistry is getting better and Callis has some really good moments but it can be trash at times. Don Callis' dikksucking of Omega gets old, he started 2 minute argument with Kevin Kelly last night when Okada fistbumped Kelly on his way out. Made me change back to the Japanese commentary.

Callis stanning Omega is hilarious, works for me...it harkens back to a healthy dose of favoritism in commentary, and heel commentators idolizing heels.

Kelly has stepped up his commentary since he'll be on with NJPW full time.

The excitement, framing, and reactions are much much better this G1.

They're not just bearable, they're quite good now.

MiSu's age finally caught up to him. He's not the elite (the the elite :skip:) guy he was even 2-3 years ago. A shame he spent the last 2ish great years of his career working NOAH in shyt no one saw. He's certainly entered the Fujiwara post 1991 era stage of his career. Despite being in the best shape he's been in in years, the facts are he's almost 50 and has had an extremely physical career considering he spent a decade doing shoots, years before doing the very stiff shoot style, and being in a lot of super stiff matches post shoot career.
I don't really think it has to do with his age...he actually looked pretty nimble out there. He put on a 5 star match with Okada. I think maybe sometimes the Japanese guys work lighter with the gaijins and the gaijins work lighter against the legends and it just didnt work for these two. I'm not ready to write off Suzuki yet.
Ibushi vs Natio god damn :wow:

shyt might be my match of the year. Partly because of the length - it didn't feel like a drawn out match just for the sake of a long match.

Wanted ibushi to win (biased he's one of my favorites) but Naito is so over

Gedo would be a fool to not book Naito vs Okada at Wrestle Kingdom

Which is why he probably won't do that:francis:
I think NJPW is gonna ride the hot hand a do the safe bet of WK being Okada vs Kenny and Naito vs Ibushi. If its not that we're getting Naito Vs Okada and Kenny vs Ibushi which would be fukkin awesome. Either way is fine with me...but its gotta be that top 4

Idk I thought Suzuki/Okada was not entertaining at all. Way overly long, bad selling from Okada, the big Chaos/SG brawl that led to absolutely NOTHING (much like Suzuki/Omega) so Suzuki could take a break. Suzuki blew it out of the water against AJ. But that Suzuki is not the same Suzuki as 2017. He had a long ass run. He's just not a top tier dude anymore. Happens to the best of them. He is 49 after all.

Stro might be right about MiSu. He's old enough were it might be too late for him to turn things on when he wants to like he did before getting suck in NOAH. But then again, I need to see him work somebody like Naito or Tanahashi to fully admit it's his age and not motivation what's keeping him from having piff matches.

PS: The Okada match was fine, certainly not a MOTYC but still good, but it's main issue wasn't wasn't MiSu imo.

Safest bet for New Japan is Okada vs Naito for the main belt and Ibushi vs Omega in a grudge match (or for the IC) at the Dome. Not the other way around.

I frankly can't see any other combination than the latter.

After the year Naito had, anything less than main eventing WK is a fukk you.

Considering their history, and how much they've grown...Kenny vs. Ibushi, no matter for what title, could be built and treated like a hell of a big match.

Okada should have lost, though. Guess Big Mike can't hit the big title picture just yet.
I agree. Should have ended it when Mike hit the crucifix powerbomb. The crowd was behind Mike, also. :gladbron: Good thing I hope it gives Mike back some momentum. Juice and EVIL were second best to me.
