In his defense though, the small increase will be more than enough for many to object. We simply aren’t rational actors, and negativity always outweighs the positive… a few bad apples and what not.
I would like to see a racial breakdown, because I believe leaving it in the hands of judges could lead to worse outcomes for black men.

Violent offenders need to be separated from society. That’s always been my point. The fact that repeat offenders are allowed to keep terrorizing community is a huge problem that all “criminal justice reform” ignores so that they can highlight someone with a misdemeanor didn’t get arrested again
People committing murder, manslaughter, robbery and felony assault being released backed into the neighborhoods where all the victims and trauma remains is not good for society and affects black communities more than others
