The Nuance is that it was also Nipsey's store. It just happens to double as his death place. The store was his blood, sweat, and tears and he also owned a fatburger right on the other side of the restaurant. Couple that with the countless murals over there and it kind of blurs the lines of a tourist location.

Also, I was just at a nice AirBnB in Inglewood not too far from Slauson. (Please correct me if I’m wrong but it couldn’t have been more than 10 min away). We literally stopped by to pay respects. I didn’t go in the pavilion (was blocked off, and honestly I wasn’t trying to be that close to it) but was just across the street at murals just chillin. It’s not a super dangerous place as a black tourist from what I saw if you’re just doing your thing minding your business like a regular person
That’s actually been happening and the cookie shop has even reopened with a memorial in his honor there. That shyt happens always the time where places get turned into a memorial in the case of celebrities or public figures, so it’s weird that people are getting outraged over it.
Most people going for the mural. Not to be where he got killed at. I drove by in 2020. No way I was stopping there
