But there are plenty of black men and women, in multiple cities across America, who channel their entrepreneurial spirit towards endeavors in neighborhoods where violence is pervasive. And, contrary to the implications of your statements, the vast majority of these people don't meet the fate that befell Nipsey. He was an active gang member who got sloppy. Stop making excuses for his mistake and using that as justification for other black entrepreneurs to turn their back on the hood. You're being overly emotional and, as a result, extremely illogical. :francis:

Kats need to stop acting like nipsey was malcolm x. Folks didnt even support his music when he was alive but wanna act like he influenced them. Folks are sheep and fake. Reality is Nipsey was doing some good things but also doing some dumb things and promoting a genocidal gang lifestyle. Ultimately the dumb gang stuff did him in over something silly. Grown men worried about who a snitch and who not and threatening each other over it. Silly. Go home and take care of your kids. We dont need black men to aspire to be nipsey. We need them to be better and leave that gang nonsense alone.

Since y’all nikkas so inspired rn, start supporting the non-famous people in your community doing things to uplift your hood. Every city has groups of people that looks like you trying to help the community. A lot of them are trying to clean up the mess that gangs people like Nipsey represent has made. Give them your time and money.

Nipsey WAS Malcolm X

His story starts off the same as Malcolm when he was red. The transition was taking place and the promotion of positivity and unity is the same.

Alot of you nikkas whp only know dude from media and music fail to fully understand what he was about. You definitely ain't from LA. Spectators trying to ref the game

Clown and c00nish to disrespect malcolm like that. Malcom was a street guy in his teens and left it alone after he went to jail and converted to Islam. Nipsey was 30+ year old active gang member. He was not transitioning. He showed no plans on leaving the gang life. He was perpetuating the same cycle of violence that took his life.

Sparking blunts in the shade.
It’s crazy to see the same type of hate that consumed Eric Holder take a hold on people in this forum. The man was stolen from his loved ones and fans a few days ago and nikkas can’t take seeing the outpouring of love so they make posts attacking Nips’s mourners and and attempt to minimize Hussle’s impact. Even if you think people are putting extras on how this affected them (a lot are), so what? What about seeing someone get love be it real or fake makes you feel the need to speak against it and him?

It’s sad that there’s so many shytty Cuzz ass nikkas in the world. Disgusting sucker shyt.

I never said majority of black people holding business in black, lower income neighborhoods are victimized. The largest employer pf black people in those neighborhoods are other blacks, afterall. The issue is of one having a profile as large as nipseys, we couldnt help but hear what happened to him. Dont not belittle my point by calling me emotional and illogical. Is it or is it not a common sentiment that most people are in the hood nt because they want to be, but because all that they have are within said hood? Hence my argument that going to greener pastures (economically speaking) is nothing to shame another brotha or sista for doing.

I am absolutely not against working and/or staying within communities so much as the vitriol that seems to come from thise that choose not to. Having lost 7 friends and 3 relatives to situations just as senseless as the one Nipsey fell to, Its not unthinkable that for some its simply a non-starter to stay in such an environment.

Im gonna withdraw on this talking point however because I feel like its not coming out correctly. Its hard to really talk about this subject without sounding like an uncaring dude when I feel the opposite. We cant let folks fall through the cracks but situations like this are one of many that people leave. I respect your opinion on this. Its just a fukked up situation.

When we say this we called c00ns and uncle toms though. THESE nikkaS DONT CARE ABOUT YOU. Out of the kindness of my heart I will always care about and give back to the black community but I will never go back to or immerse myself back into the hood. I will never forget seeing my brother and my cousin dead. And they both were save the hood types. nikkas still killed them. Nip was for saving the hood too which is a noble cause but a stupid nikka still killed him.....because he represented success and wealth and that makes all the men around him that’s not doing well in life angry and bitter that they still stuck while he’s shining. It’s a ticking time bomb. That nikka probably went there on purpose to kill Nip. He knew he was a snitch and he knew he was persona non grata in that hood and he knew that was Nip’s store and he might not get a warm welcome but he went there anyway. Nip should’ve had a store out in the Valley or Orange County far away from them dumb stupid nikkas. It’s going to always be the same story every single time, over and over again until people get it through their heads that when you’re successful you look like a walking steak to the wolves and they hate you for reminding them of what they don’t have. I learned that lesson early on seeing my relatives murdered. Ain’t no love out here. Now if these stupid Coli nikkas wanna test that theory and see if they beat the odds than go right ahead. Call me a c00n too. I don’t care. Seeing so much murder really fukked my head up as a kid and it just let me know it could easily be you if you don’t move the right way.
Thanks for sharing this fam. Very true. I guess people want to maintain that sense of pride through how people see them and in their minds, staying after experiencing their own success was they way of doing that but they should've relocated and done it from an arm's distance. My condolences.
