The most simple answer is probably the correct one but does anyone think his meeting with the LA police chief could have had something to do with it?
...meaning that nikkas in his set conspired to have him killed?
:ohhh:

That's one take that isn't being pushed heavily right now

You “stop with the conspiracy” long ass post writing dudes almost as annoying as the conspiracy dudes. I don’t believe any conspiracy bout this murder. But who cares if some don’t believe the “official” story?

Ignore them dudes and keep it pushing. Clogging up the thread complaining about what nikkas choose to believe.
It needs to be said, people got to start dealing with reality and stop making up bullshyt.

It's a problem

How is this at all similar to the Troy Ave situation? Unlike Nipsey, who received adulation in the state of California and from many people across the country, Troy Ave isn't respected by most people in NY. He's viewed by most as a low rent provocateur who was little more than a 50 cent knockoff. And the dude who allegedly shot him, Taxstone, was an up-and-coming media personality who really is about that life and whose trajectory was halted because of Troy Ave's foolishness. :francis:

who's respected or not is has nothing to do with the scenario :stopitslime: im referring to the actually shooting/aftermath. unfortunately NOBODY fired back at the shytty dude. if one of the cats that were shot, but not killed, was able to fire back, they would be hailed as a real one. Troy got hit twice & had the wherewithal to gather himself & get to action. If that couldve happened in Nipsey's case, he might still be alive :mjcry:

Everywhere...You never there.
Reality of the situation is, if it it’s indeed true that Nipsey and his people told his killer to “leave you’re name isn’t good here” then Nip was the one that opened himself to harms way, the community can’t do nothing about it.
When he said that he immediately put himself into un-needed hood politics.
He just needed better protection, actual security not his “homies” that didn’t even have weapons to bust back.
People at Nipsey’s type of fame need to get better protection if they’re doing business at at-risk areas. It’s sad but necessary.
Feel what you’re saying but ...

The community can do something...If bangers can’t “police” their “own,” then what’s the purpose ?

What’s curious — as others have said — is why any presence by him had seemingly occurred without grave repercussions (even if he was a known killer ), and also when he popped up at the shop , why wasn’t the bat signal sent out on him immmdiately . Just came home not too long ago, allegedly a rat, mentally unstable and a killer ... coming up out the blue to “talk” with the hood’s 7, 8 figure asset ?!

And then catch feelings when directed to leave?!!

:gucci:

I’m struggling so hard with this right now. One comment was talking about how we need to protect our generational leaders at all costs. How do we do that but still allow them to be people’s champions and be reachable, acessible, and relatable?

There has to be a balance ... the more inaccessible side could include:

Limit their exposure ... no prolonged, extended periods of “idle” time should be occurring , restricted accessibility especially in public, highly visible places and ustructured events . Intel collection beforehand... at least a couple trained military guys ( they can even blend in ... throw em some Crenshaw gear and some Gucci belts and Balenciagas)... that’s just for starters ...

Two reasons for this. The biggest one is that's his comfort zone. He was literally raised from that lot. His entire history is based from there. The 2nd reason is because of his entire history was based from that lot, the good as well the bad surfaced there where they had raids in the past and people arrested for stockpile of guns. They lost their original store because of having guns at their spot. So now it's a gun free zone. But, Nip's status was so high, only a FOOL would of dared anyway.

yea, Nip may have been TOO comfortable, and thats one thing you can't be in the hood, regardless of how much respect you got, Because its ALWAYS a nikka out there that don't care about none of that

I feel you and undertand where you’re coming from.
Personally, bangers can’t police anybody, they’re low-life’s. Nip got a false sense of security thinking his homies can get his back 247
