some people are too good man. the way we focused on all the losers and treated the golden ones like some anomaly was proof we didn't deserve him. drake gets 100 pages for knocking up a porn star. another 30 pages if one of these leaned out xanned out baby rappers dyes their hair another color or wears a dress. we lost him because at the end of the day we didn't value him for what he was really worth. as long as the culture continues to put time energy and attention on fukkery like some kind of circus, all the great ones will be discarded and shot down like worthless dogs. hip hop is just as much about the energy as it is the music and the energy has been way off for a long time. the universe doesn't give a fukk about a salute or a few nikkas saying "what's real." it keeps around the shyt we put our energy on period. not to get all metaphysical and shyt but that's the truth...we lost him because of ignorance on all sides. he wasn't protected because we weren't protecting him and supporting where it mattered as a whole.
