Yeah, they fukked me when they took Tonfa from skill. It’s courage now, so it’s gonna be a bytch playing with 3 different weapons. I’ll make it work though. I’m still trying to adjust to my toughness not being up to par. I’m still spoiled from my A agility/A toughness character in the first game. I might respec myself and start investing in stamina so I can atleast get up to B toughness with A agility.

And you’re not lying about the maps. Levels feel LONG now. I think that could also be our unfamiliarity with them too. I knew the Nioh 1 levels like the back of my hand. Once we learn these, shyt will go quicker I’m sure.

And lol at enemies hanging out in trees. First time an Enki landed on me I was like :martin:

I switched my Guardian from Brute to Feral to experiment because I kept getting beat by a boss and the difference is night and day. No longer have to worry about being tired and getting slaughtered after stamina runs out as long as you have a little anima. Beat the boss easily after that. I think they might nerf Feral in the future but hopefully not.

lol what took you so long? I've been on Feral since the beta. The only time I've tried the others is in the tutorial. Just feels like Feral fits my style more. Plus I've been rocking with the bird guardian for increased running speed and ki recovery speed. I just now switched over to a different guardian to switch it up for a bit.

If Kara-Jishi isn't in this game, and if it is, it's not Feral, I'm gonna be upset.

I haven't done shyt today except farm these 2 bosses for skills. Still trying to get this other Dual Sword skill from Imagawa. shyt's a pain in the ass.

  • Triple Threat (drop from Toshiie Maeda)

  • Bracing Breeze (drop from Toshiie Maeda)
Switchglaive:

  • Windswept (drop from Yoshimoto Imagawa)

  • Fleeting Edge (drop from Mumyo in dojo) thanks to u/Vikaluka
Axe:

Yo this game is the shyt!:wow:

I love this already like Bloodborne. I been playing Sekiro and Bloodborne a days before I copped so I had to readjust my skills but that didn’t take long. I only beat the second boss and did one sub mission of the first level where they Yokai rush you, my magic is at a 10 but I haven’t got anything to use it for. How do I use magic?

Long-ish answer, so I put it in a spoiler.

First you have to unlock skills. Go to the onmyo tree in the ‘Learn Skills’ menu. The tree is self explanatory. You have to unlock certain skills to get access to other skills. Wander around the tree and figure out what direction you wanna go. Don’t worry about messing up too much, as you can reset your skills whenever you want in the dojo (provided you have gold to pay).

You unlock the skills with points. You get points in 3 ways: leveling up the magic skill (your level 10), using magic (raising proficiency) and picking up mages locks. There are locks (both onmyo and ninjitsu) littered throughout the game, so get all the treasures. There’s an option you can change to have them consumed automatically when you pick them up, but it’s not like that by default, so check your items to see if you’ve picked any up so far.

When you unlock them, go to a shrine and move to the ‘ready jutsu’ tab. There you activate what scrolls you want. Each scroll costs a certain amount of points to activate, and you’re limited to how many points you can use. So you gotta pick and choose what you want active at a time. Keep in mind that you can level up most skills multiple times, which will lower the point requirement for each scroll, thus letting you activate more at a time.

The more you level up the magic skill, the more points you get. First game capped off at level 30 before it stopped raising your points. After that, it just made it stronger. There’s also a skill in both the ninja and magic trees that will raise it some more. First game capped at 34 I think, so I’m sure this will be the same.

Once it’s ready at the shrine, just set them to the quick menu and start using them. Once you run out, praying at a shrine will replenish them 100%. Also, there’s an item (Sacred Brush) that you can use at any time that will replenish 30% of your onmyo, so usually around one scroll. Ninjutsu has a similar item, called a Shinobi Box. Both these items are hard to come by early on though. You’ll eventually get a smithing text that you can use to make them (‘Forge’ menu at the Blacksmith), and access to the Hidden Teahouse where you can buy them.

Hope that helps.
