Anybody beat the third boss (Snake Boss) yet? From what I’ve read this boss is disproportionately hard compared to many bosses. I cleared out the poison water in the room though.

i beat all bosses so far without help of the AI all you gotta do is when he goes into the dark realm and run around that pillar until he phases out of it and whenever he big swings just roll to the left or right then go in on his ass....the yokai shift helps get rid of big yokai's ki faster including boss yokaim..basically what you want to do is get their ki down to stunlock em...also if u havent yet put points into magic so you can lace your weapon with fire etc...also check the beastiary so u can see what the yokai are weak to
yeah I smashed both those rat b*stards dolo yesterday, :ahh:
just wanted to try the new Acolyte mechanic since reviews kept bringing it up plus their's a trophy attached to it :manny:

I’m surprised so many ppl are struggling with the snake boss. Fought it in the beta. I thought it was easy then, and it was easy now. Beat it 3rd try I think in beta, 1st try here. Had much more trouble with Kaimatachi in the beta.

Yeah, ki pulse is ESSENTIAL. Hell, I’d also say learning to flux (and double flux) is pretty necessary too, especially in this game.

Flux = switching stances while ki pulsing to recover more ki than just a regular ki pulse.

Double Flux = switching stances TWICE within the same ki pulse, which will recover even more ki. This one is tricky to master. I usually do this from high to low. Just hit square and slide my finger down to X while ki pulsing. Gotta be quick to do this right. Still can’t get the timing down while using Tonfa, probably because of Demon Dance. Much easier for me with Sword/Duals.

The Snake Soul Core has been the best to me so far with the Enki Soul Corr being a nice Secondary for long range. The Square Rock Monster has also been a close 2nd.

I don’t even use the attacks (I should probably start, as I know some can interrupt enemy attacks), I just focus on the passives. You guys know you can fuse cores too right? They have to be the same cores, and they can go up to a level 9. I don’t know if it affects the attack, but I know it increases the passives a bit.

Also, you can carry over any inheritable (it’ll have a little icon next to it). So if you find a good core without an inheritable, and have another core (again, have to be the same type of core) with a good inheritable, fuse the non inheritable with the inheritable and it’ll move over. I got a Tengu with Kodama Sensor as an inheritable and put it on another Tengu with better abilities.
